Best Presales Software in 2026: 14 Tools Grouped by Presales Job
A practical perspective for connecting this idea to your revenue team’s next move.
The best presales software depends on the job you need to fix. For demos, look at Consensus, Navattic, Storylane or Walnut. For RFPs and security questionnaires, Loopio, Responsive or Inventive AI. For proofs of concept, Opine or TestBox. For evaluation plans, a deal room such as Aligned or Dock. For call review, Gong or Avoma.
Most presales lists come from demo vendors. Solutions consultants also spend time on discovery handoffs, POC plans, questionnaires and recording the technical win, so this guide groups 14 tools by job, each with its published price, one limitation and when to choose it.
Last updated: 26 October 2026
Disclosure: Revspire publishes this list. Revspire appears once, in the deal room group, and is not ranked above other tools. Tools are grouped by job and listed alphabetically within each group. Every price below was checked on the vendor’s own website on 26 October 2026.

What do presales teams actually need from software?
List the jobs your solutions engineers do every week and where time leaks. Five come up in most presales teams:
- Demo prep. Building demo environments and tailoring a story per account. Interactive demos also let buyers explore alone: Gartner’s survey of 646 B2B buyers (fieldwork August to September 2025, published 9 March 2026) found that 67% prefer a rep-free experience (Gartner, 2026).
- Discovery handoff. The AE’s notes, the buyer’s requirements and the stakeholder list should reach the SE before the first technical call.
- POC plans with success criteria. A proof of concept needs three to five measurable criteria the buyer agrees to in writing, named owners on both sides and an end date. Without them, evaluations drift and the technical win is never declared.
- RFPs and security questionnaires. Reusing approved answers instead of asking an engineer the same SSO question every month.
- Technical win tracking. Recording when the buyer’s technical team signs off, what the gaps were and which product requests came out of the evaluation.
No single tool covers all five well; most teams combine a demo tool, a response tool and a shared plan, and record the technical win in the CRM. One change worth knowing: Vivun, long associated with presales management, now presents its site around Hero, an AI sales assistant for live calls, and its homepage no longer describes POC or technical win tracking (Vivun, checked 26 October 2026). It is left out of this list for that reason.
Interactive demo and demo-automation tools
These tools capture your product as a tour, HTML replica or sandbox, so SEs stop rebuilding demos. Our interactive demo software guide covers more vendors in this group.
Consensus
- What it does: video demos, interactive tours, AI demo agents and live demos in one platform, with Demo Intelligence showing who engaged and what they cared about; integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack and Gong (Consensus).
- Pricing: based on per-user licences plus optional usage-based capabilities; the page’s summary says pricing starts at $600 a month, and no plans are listed (Consensus pricing, checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: the $600 figure appears only in the page’s meta description, and no free trial is mentioned.
- Choose it when: buyers self-qualify before meeting an SE and you want engagement data per stakeholder.
Navattic
- What it does: interactive HTML demos with an AI Copilot, A/B testing and integrations; the Growth plan adds sales integrations such as Gong, Salesloft, Outreach, Seismic and Highspot (Navattic pricing).
- Pricing: Starter is free for one seat and one demo; Base (5 seats) and Growth (10 seats) are billed annually with no price shown; Enterprise is custom (checked 26 October 2026). See our Navattic pricing breakdown.
- Limitation: sandbox demos and SSO are listed from the Growth plan up, not on Base.
- Choose it when: marketing and presales share one demo library.
Storylane
- What it does: interactive demos with personalisation tokens, account reveal and, from Growth, HTML demos and CRM deal intelligence (Storylane pricing).
- Pricing: Free; Starter $50 a month or $40 on yearly billing (1 seat); Growth $625 or $500 (5 seats); Premium $1,500 or $1,200 (10 seats); Enterprise custom (checked 26 October 2026). More detail in our Storylane pricing page.
- Limitation: sandbox demos are listed only on Enterprise, and the Salesforce integration starts at Premium.
- Choose it when: you want to start small at published prices.
Walnut
- What it does: AI-built, personalised demos with editor and presenter seats, analytics, and optional sandbox demos and digital sales rooms (Walnut pricing).
- Pricing: Ignite $575 a month billed annually (3 editor and 3 presenter seats); Accelerate $1,550 a month billed annually (6 and 6, with sandbox demos); Scale custom (checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: on Ignite, sandbox demos and digital sales rooms are add-ons; digital sales rooms are included only on Scale.
- Choose it when: SEs present live and want per-prospect personalisation outside the real product.
RFP and security questionnaire response tools
These tools keep an approved answer library and draft responses to RFPs, due diligence and security questionnaires. Our RFP software guide and Loopio vs Responsive comparison go deeper.
Inventive AI
- What it does: AI drafting for RFPs and security questionnaires on one plan with all features included (Inventive AI pricing).
- Pricing: from $830 a month billed annually (the page also says plans start at $10K a year), with unlimited users, a fixed platform fee and usage billed per RFP and questionnaire (checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: the per-RFP and per-questionnaire rate is not published, so total cost depends on volume you only learn on a call.
- Choose it when: many SEs and security staff contribute occasionally, so seat licences would be wasted.
Loopio
- What it does: response management with unlimited projects and library entries and generative AI; its pricing FAQ says the price covers all responses, including security and due diligence questionnaires (Loopio pricing).
- Pricing: not published; Foundations, Enhanced and Enterprise are quoted, and Foundations includes 10 seats (checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: no published prices, and the Enhanced seat count is not stated.
- Choose it when: a proposal team owns the library and SEs act as subject-matter reviewers.
Responsive
- What it does: response management with unlimited projects, an AI and automation studio, and, from Growth, intake requests and advanced integrations (Responsive pricing).
- Pricing: Emerging Edition starting from $10,000; Growth and Enterprise through sales; cost combines an annual platform fee, user licences and add-ons (checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: user licences are priced separately and their cost is not stated.
- Choose it when: RFPs arrive weekly and legal, InfoSec and presales share each response.
Proof-of-concept and technical evaluation tools
Few vendors manage the POC itself.
Opine
- What it does: one record per opportunity combining calls, notes, CRM data and requirements, with POV planning, templated technical validation plans with owners, technical fit assessments, specialist routing and product gap intelligence; two-way Salesforce and HubSpot sync (Opine).
- Pricing: not published; custom quote scaled to team size (Opine pricing, checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: RFP and security questionnaire response is not mentioned on its homepage, so you still need a response tool.
- Choose it when: many POVs run at once and leaders want evaluation status in one place.
TestBox
- What it does: live product sandboxes on synthetic data for demos, POCs and buyer evaluations, with one-click POCs and a data generator (TestBox).
- Pricing: not published; the site offers a demo booking (checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: its homepage describes the environment, not tracking of success criteria or the evaluation plan.
- Choose it when: building a data-rich trial environment is the slowest part of each POC.
Deal rooms and mutual action plans for the technical evaluation
A deal room gives the buyer’s technical team one link for the POC plan, documents and next steps. Our digital sales room comparison covers more options, and the mutual action plan template works for a POC plan.
Aligned
- What it does: deal rooms with mutual action plans and a stakeholder map on every plan, engagement alerts from Basic, and AI features from Pro (Aligned pricing).
- Pricing: Starter free; Basic $35 a seat a month or $29 on annual billing; Pro $60 or $49; Enterprise custom; buyer stakeholders do not use a seat (checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: full native, two-way CRM sync is listed only on Enterprise; lower plans show Salesforce and HubSpot as limited.
- Choose it when: you want mutual action plans for every evaluation at a low per-seat price.
Dock
- What it does: sales room workspaces, a content library, order forms and onboarding plans (Dock); its mutual action plan template adds milestones, due dates and owners on both sides, with buyer engagement tracking (Dock MAP template).
- Pricing: Free; Standard $350 a month with 5 users; Premium $1,000 a month billed annually with 10 users; extra seats $50 a month; Enterprise custom; external collaborators are free (Dock pricing, checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: the pricing table does not show which plans include mutual action plans or analytics.
- Choose it when: the same workspace should carry the deal from evaluation into onboarding.
Revspire
- What it does: an AI sales enablement platform whose Digital Sales Rooms hold mutual action plans with owners and due dates, AI stakeholder mapping that flags deal risks, buyer engagement analytics and AI content recommendations by deal stage and stakeholder role. The Content Hub keeps approved technical content current, the AI Playbook Engine provides battlecards and objection plays, and CPQ is available as an add-on module.
- Pricing: per module, with unlimited user licenses, about $25,000 USD a year (Revspire pricing).
- Limitation: Revspire has no demo-automation or interactive-demo product, so pair it with a tool from that group if buyers expect to explore the product on their own.
- Choose it when: the evaluation involves a large buying committee and you want the POC plan, approved content and battlecards in the system sellers already use.
Conversation intelligence for SE call review
Recorded technical calls let SE leaders review discovery and coach without joining every meeting.
Avoma
- What it does: meeting recording with an add-on for conversation intelligence: AI coaching recommendations, automatic call scoring and keyword and topic trackers (Avoma pricing).
- Pricing: Startup from $19 a recorder seat a month on annual billing ($29 monthly); Conversation Intelligence add-on $29 a seat a month annual ($35 monthly); viewers free; 14-day trial (checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: full conversation intelligence is a paid add-on on every plan; Organization includes only a limited version.
- Choose it when: only the SE team needs call review and the budget is small.
Gong
- What it does: records and transcribes calls, tracks topics such as objections and competitor mentions, writes AI summaries and supports manager review with scorecards (Gong conversation intelligence).
- Pricing: not published; per-user licences plus a platform fee (Gong pricing, checked 26 October 2026).
- Limitation: the pricing page lists no tiers or presales-only package.
- Choose it when: sales already runs on Gong and SEs should review the same calls as AEs.
Worked example: building a presales stack at a fictional company
Harbourline Data (fictional) sells data-integration software with 5 solutions consultants and 12 account executives, and runs a POC in most enterprise deals. Its SE manager sees four problems: demos rebuilt from scratch, POCs overrunning because nobody wrote down success criteria, questionnaires answered from old documents, and no review of technical calls.
She maps each problem to one job and prices a shortlist at list prices checked on 26 October 2026:
Problem
Job
Choice
List cost per year
Demos rebuilt each time
Interactive demos
Storylane Growth, 5 seats, yearly
$500 x 12 = $6,000
Questionnaires from old documents
Response
Inventive AI, unlimited users
$830 x 12 = $9,960, plus usage
POCs without criteria
Mutual action plan
Aligned Pro, 17 seats, annual
$49 x 17 x 12 = $9,996
No review of technical calls
Call review
Avoma Startup plus CI, 5 seats, annual
($19 + $29) x 5 x 12 = $2,880
Illustrative only. List prices before discounts, taxes and usage charges.
The floor is about $28,800 a year. If the company already has an enablement platform with deal rooms, the Aligned line drops out. If AEs also need call review, company-wide Gong may replace Avoma.
The process matters more than the tools. Harbourline’s POC plan now has four fixed sections: success criteria agreed with the buyer’s technical lead, owners and dates per test, an exit review, and a CRM technical win field the SE sets only when the buyer confirms the criteria were met.
How do you choose presales tools?
- Start from the job that costs the most SE hours today.
- Check your plan tier: sandboxes, SSO and CRM sync are often limited to higher plans.
- Make sure the POC plan is visible to the buyer, not only stored in an internal tracker.
- Decide where the technical win is recorded, usually a CRM field, before buying.
- Get usage charges in writing for tools billed per RFP, credit or conversation.
If evaluations stall once the buying committee grows, book a Revspire demo of deal rooms with mutual action plans.
Frequently asked questions
What is presales software?
Presales software helps solutions engineers win the technical part of a deal: demos, RFP and security questionnaire response, proof-of-concept management, shared evaluation plans and call review. Most teams combine several tools rather than buy one suite.
What tools do solutions consultants use?
Typically a CRM, a demo or sandbox tool such as Navattic, Storylane or TestBox, a response library such as Loopio or Responsive, and a call recorder such as Gong. Many share POC plans in a deal room such as Aligned or Dock.
What is presales enablement software?
It prepares SEs rather than buyers: approved technical content, battlecards, objection handling and training. Sales enablement platforms often cover this; demo and RFP tools produce buyer-facing assets.
Do I need a dedicated POC management tool?
Not always. For a handful of POCs a quarter, a mutual action plan with written success criteria is usually enough. Dedicated tools such as Opine make sense when many evaluations run in parallel and leaders need status across all of them.
Is a digital sales room presales software?
It is when it carries the technical evaluation: the buyer’s technical team gets the POC plan, documents and next steps in one link. It does not build demos or answer questionnaires.
