Best AI Call Scoring Software in 2026: Real Calls vs Practice Calls

A practical perspective for connecting this idea to your revenue team’s next move.

The best AI call scoring software depends on which calls you want scored. To score real recorded sales calls, look at Avoma, Gong, Hyperbound Perform, Mindtickle, Outreach or Salesloft. To score practice calls with an AI buyer before reps reach a customer, look at Allego, Highspot, Revspire, Second Nature or Yoodli.

Call scoring means rating a sales conversation against agreed criteria so every rep gets consistent feedback. AI call scoring applies the rubric automatically. This guide groups 11 tools by the kind of call they score, with each vendor’s published pricing, one limitation and when to choose it.

Last updated: 27 October 2026

Disclosure: Revspire publishes this list. Revspire appears once, in the practice scoring group, and is not ranked above other tools. Revspire does not record or score real customer calls; it scores AI role-play practice only. Tools are grouped by the calls they score and listed alphabetically within each group. Every price and feature below was checked on the vendor’s own website on 27 October 2026.

Real-call scoring vs practice scoring: what is the difference?

Both use a sales call scorecard, but they answer different questions.

  • Real-call scoring records customer calls, transcribes them and rates each one against your rubric. It tells you what reps actually do with buyers. It needs a recorder on every call, consent rules for recording, and a manager who checks a sample of AI scores.
  • Practice scoring rates a rep’s conversation with an AI buyer. It tells you whether a rep can handle a situation before a buyer sees it, and it lets reps repeat the same scenario until they pass. It does not tell you what happened on last Tuesday’s call.

Most teams that coach well use both: practice scores to prepare, real-call scores to check that the skill shows up with customers. If you only buy one, pick the gap that costs you more deals today.

Tools that score real recorded sales calls

These tools record or import customer conversations and score them. Our conversation intelligence software guide covers recording tools in more depth.

Avoma

  • What it does: an AI meeting assistant with recording and transcription; its Conversation Intelligence add-on lists AI coaching recommendations, auto call scoring, coaching scorecards and custom AI scorecards, including methodologies such as SPICED, Sandler and MEDDICC (Avoma pricing).
  • Pricing: Startup $19 per recorder seat a month billed annually ($29 monthly), up to 25 paid seats; Enterprise $39 billed annually; Conversation Intelligence add-on $29 a seat a month annually ($35 monthly). Viewers are free, and there is a 14-day trial (checked 27 October 2026). See our Avoma pricing guide.
  • Limitation: scoring is only in the add-on, and the page shows two different annual prices for the Organization plan, so confirm that tier in writing.
  • Choose it when: you want published per-seat prices and custom scorecards built on a named sales methodology.

Gong

  • What it does: records and transcribes calls, meetings and email, with dashboards, scorecards and coaching recommendations “based on real customer interactions” (Gong conversation intelligence). Gong Enable’s AI Call Reviewer is described as able to “score calls automatically”, and its AI Trainer turns past calls into role-play with instant automated feedback (Gong Enable).
  • Pricing: not published. Gong’s pricing page says licences are priced per user and “there is a platform fee based on the number of users supported” (checked 27 October 2026). See our Gong pricing guide.
  • Limitation: AI Call Reviewer is presented on the Gong Enable page, so confirm whether your quote includes Enable or only conversation intelligence.
  • Choose it when: you want recording, real-call scoring and practice built from your own calls from one vendor.

Hyperbound

  • What it does: Perform will “record and score conversations”, with scorecards that link each criterion to a timestamped moment in the call and suggest a coaching opportunity; Practice offers role-play with AI buyers and AI scorecards built around your methodology. Live Call Coaching is listed as a private preview, and Gong is among the named integrations (Hyperbound).
  • Pricing: not published; the pricing page names Free, Practice and Perform plans without prices or plan contents (checked 27 October 2026). See our Hyperbound pricing guide.
  • Limitation: the pricing page does not say what each plan includes, so you cannot tell from the site whether practice and real-call scoring are bought together.
  • Choose it when: you want the same scorecard applied to practice and to real calls, with evidence tied to the moment in the call.

Mindtickle

  • What it does: Conversation Intelligence records and transcribes calls, which are “analyzed and scored with AI Copilot” against behaviours such as talk time, pace and questions asked; teams set the benchmarks, and managers coach with embedded forms (Mindtickle Conversation Intelligence). Its AI Role Play Simulator scores reps “after every role play” (Mindtickle AI Role Play Simulator).
  • Pricing: not published; Mindtickle’s site shows no prices and routes buyers to a demo (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: neither page publishes the scoring rubric or how scores are calculated, so test scores against your managers’ ratings in a pilot.
  • Choose it when: you want real-call and practice scores in the same readiness platform as training and content.

Outreach

  • What it does: sales engagement with conversation intelligence; “AI Coach Cards with Automated Scoring” are listed in the Amplify Essentials, Plus and Pro packages, while Core lists call insights and analytics only (Outreach pricing).
  • Pricing: not published. The page says “Per user pricing. No platform fees. Support included”, plus consumption-based AI credits from 10,000 (Essentials) to 100,000 (Pro) (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: AI credits mean usage affects cost, and credit prices are not published.
  • Choose it when: reps already sequence in Outreach and you want scoring next to their cadences.

Salesloft

  • What it does: Conversation Intelligence records and transcribes calls; the FAQ says it can “score calls automatically”, and coachable moments become tasks in rep workflows (Salesloft Conversation Intelligence).
  • Pricing: not published; the pricing page routes to Talk to Sales (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the page does not explain the scoring criteria or whether you can build your own scorecard.
  • Choose it when: Salesloft is already your engagement platform and you want scores inside the same rep workflow.

Two well-known recorders are not in this group: the Jiminny and ZoomInfo Chorus pages we checked on 27 October 2026 describe coaching insights but do not mention call scoring. If you use either, ask for a demo of scoring specifically.

Tools that score practice and role-play calls

These tools score conversations with an AI buyer. Our AI sales role-play software guide compares the role-play side in more depth.

Allego

  • What it does: AI Role Play against video avatars with “real-time feedback on talk track, objections & messaging”; managers add scoring with rubrics and side-by-side review, and Certify adds badges and readiness dashboards. A separate package pairs learning with Conversation Intelligence that shows objections and competitors across conversations (Allego pricing).
  • Pricing: not published; per user per month, billed annually upfront; typical term 3 years; the page says Allego never charges extra for AI or support (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the page does not describe automated scoring of real calls, and the typical contract is three years.
  • Choose it when: managers want to score practice themselves with rubrics, alongside AI feedback and certification.

Highspot

  • What it does: the Better package adds practice and reinforcement, role play within training and AI feedback on training; Best adds Meeting Intelligence, role play for coaching and AI feedback on meetings (Highspot pricing).
  • Pricing: not published (Good, Better, Best; checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the pricing page says “AI feedback” rather than scoring, and meeting feedback is listed only on the top tier.
  • Choose it when: content management is also a gap and you want practice feedback in the same platform.

Revspire

  • What it does: an AI sales enablement platform. AI Sales Training & Coaching offers AI video role-play of buyer conversations, deal-specific objection practice with battle cards, and instant AI scoring of each practice attempt for clarity, confidence and objection handling, with team readiness tracking and certification without a separate LMS.
  • Pricing: priced by module with unlimited user licenses; about $25,000 USD a year on average (Revspire pricing).
  • Limitation: Revspire does not record or score real customer calls; its Conversation Intelligence module is listed as coming soon. If you need real-call scores today, pair it with a tool from the group above. Gong is listed among Revspire’s integrations.
  • Choose it when: you want every rep to practise the objections in their open deals and get a score before the call, without per-seat cost.

Second Nature

  • What it does: AI role plays in which the AI “scores” reps so they can improve on their own, gamified certification, and LMS connection via SCORM or LTI (Second Nature).
  • Pricing: not published; the homepage directs pricing questions to sales (checked 27 October 2026). See our Second Nature pricing guide.
  • Limitation: the homepage does not describe what is scored or whether you can edit the criteria.
  • Choose it when: certification by practice score is the main goal and your LMS should record the results.

Yoodli

  • What it does: live AI roleplays with feedback; Business and Enterprise team plans include custom rubrics, coaching for every learner and Measure dashboards. The individual Pro plan includes feedback on uploaded recordings (Yoodli pricing).
  • Pricing: individual Pro $8 and Advanced $20 a month, billed annually; Business and Enterprise per seat, billed annually, with no published price (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: custom rubrics are listed only on the team plans, which need a sales conversation.
  • Choose it when: you want to trial AI practice cheaply with a few reps before a team rollout.

Worked example: calibrating AI scores against a manager

Tidewater Payments (fictional) has 15 account executives and wants AI scores it can trust. Enablement writes a five-criterion discovery scorecard, scored 1 to 5, and attaches it to both its practice tool and its call recorder. Before rolling out, a manager scores the same real call by hand.

Illustrative only. Tidewater treats a gap of 2 or more as a rubric problem to fix before trusting the score.

The AI and the manager agree within one point on four criteria. On the pricing objection they differ by two: the AI counted the rep’s discount offer as handling the objection, while the manager did not. Tidewater rewrites the level descriptions for that criterion (“a 3 means the rep restated value before discussing price”) and repeats the check on five more calls. Only then does it publish team averages. Our sales call scorecard template is a starting point for the rubric.

For the cost side, recording and scoring 15 recorder seats on Avoma Startup with the Conversation Intelligence add-on, billed annually, lists at ($19 + $29) x 15 x 12 = $8,640 a year, before discounts and taxes.

How do you choose AI call scoring software?

  • Decide which calls need scores. Real calls show behaviour with buyers; practice calls build the skill first. Many teams need one tool from each group.
  • Bring your own rubric. Check that you can edit criteria and level descriptions, not just pick from vendor defaults.
  • Ask for the evidence behind each score. A score that links to the moment in the call is coachable; a bare number is not.
  • Run a calibration test. Have two managers score five calls by hand and compare with the AI before you trust averages.
  • Check recording consent and retention. Real-call scoring depends on recording rules in every region where you sell.
  • Price every fee. Platform fees, add-ons and AI credits change the total more than the seat price.

If practice scoring is the gap, book a Revspire demo of AI role-play scored on your own objections.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI call scoring?

AI call scoring applies a scorecard to sales conversations automatically, rating each call or practice attempt on criteria such as discovery, objection handling and next steps. It gives every rep consistent feedback; managers should still check a sample against their own scores.

Which tools score real sales calls automatically?

From the vendor pages we checked: Avoma (Conversation Intelligence add-on), Gong (AI Call Reviewer), Hyperbound Perform, Mindtickle Conversation Intelligence, Outreach (AI Coach Cards with Automated Scoring) and Salesloft Conversation Intelligence.

Does Revspire score real sales calls?

No. Revspire scores AI role-play practice for clarity, confidence and objection handling. It does not record or score real customer calls; its Conversation Intelligence module is listed as coming soon.

Can I use the same scorecard for practice and real calls?

Yes, and it helps. Using one rubric lets you compare a rep’s practice score with their real-call score on the same criterion. Hyperbound and Mindtickle offer both in one vendor; otherwise, load the same criteria into two tools.

How accurate is AI call scoring?

None of the vendor pages we checked publish accuracy data. Treat AI scores as a first pass, calibrate them against manager scores on the same calls, and rewrite criteria where the two disagree.
