Gong Alternatives in 2026: 13 Options Grouped by Why Teams Switch

A practical perspective for connecting this idea to your revenue team’s next move.

The best Gong alternatives depend on why you are leaving. For lower-cost call recording, look at Avoma, Fireflies.ai, Jiminny or ZoomInfo Chorus. To fold recording into sales engagement, Outreach or Salesloft. For AI role-play and coaching, Hyperbound, Second Nature or Yoodli. For coaching plus enablement content, Mindtickle, Allego or Highspot.

Gong does many jobs at once: it records and transcribes calls, tracks topics and deals, and with Gong Enable adds AI role-play and training. Most teams that switch only want to replace one or two of those jobs. This guide groups 13 options by the reason teams give for leaving, with each vendor’s published pricing, one limitation and when to choose it.

Last updated: 27 October 2026

Disclosure: Revspire publishes this list. Revspire appears once, in the enablement group, and is not ranked above other tools. Revspire does not record or transcribe calls, so it is not a replacement for Gong’s conversation intelligence; it substitutes only for the coaching, role-play and enablement parts. Tools are grouped by reason and listed alphabetically within each group. Every price was checked on the vendor’s own website on 27 October 2026.

Why do teams look for Gong alternatives?

Three reasons come up most often, and they lead to different shortlists.

  • Cost and the platform fee. Gong’s pricing page (checked 27 October 2026) says licences are priced per user and that “there is a platform fee based on the number of users supported”. No prices are published. Vendr’s Gong page puts the median buyer at $55,430 a year, with a range of $11,502 to $203,598, based on 1,146 purchases (last updated March 2026). Our Gong pricing guide explains the model in more detail.
  • Coaching and practice, not just review. Gong is built around recorded calls. Gong Enable adds AI role-play, an AI Trainer that turns past calls into practice scenarios, an AI Call Reviewer and structured Lessons (Gong Enable, checked 27 October 2026). Teams that mainly want reps to rehearse before calls sometimes prefer a dedicated role-play tool.
  • Enablement content and training in one place. Gong Enable’s page does not describe a content management feature; it refers to integrations with content systems. Teams that want approved content, training and coaching in one system look at enablement suites.

Before you shortlist, write down which Gong jobs you actually use. If managers rely on recorded calls every week, you need a recording tool in the new stack, whichever group you pick.

Lower-cost conversation intelligence

These tools record, transcribe and analyse calls, which is the core of what Gong does. Our conversation intelligence software guide covers more options.

Avoma

  • What it does: an AI meeting assistant with recording, transcription and AI notes, plus a Conversation Intelligence add-on with AI coaching, call scoring, custom scorecards and smart trackers (Avoma pricing).
  • Pricing: Startup $19 per recorder seat a month billed annually ($29 monthly), up to 25 paid seats; Enterprise $39 billed annually only; Conversation Intelligence add-on $29 a seat a month annually ($35 monthly). Viewers and collaborators are free, and there is a 14-day trial (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the page shows two different prices for the Organization plan, so confirm that tier in writing.
  • Choose it when: you want published per-seat pricing and only reps who record need a paid seat.

Fireflies.ai

  • What it does: meeting recording and transcription with a free plan; conversation intelligence and team analytics are listed from the Business plan (Fireflies.ai pricing).
  • Pricing: Free; Pro $10, Business $19 and Enterprise $39 per seat a month, billed annually (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the pricing page does not mention coaching features or name CRM integrations by plan.
  • Choose it when: cost matters most and you need transcripts and basic conversation analytics rather than manager coaching workflows.

Jiminny

  • What it does: conversation capture and summaries (Capture plan), coaching from real conversations (Scale) and team and deal views for leaders (Grow) (Jiminny pricing).
  • Pricing: not published. Quotes depend on the number of recording, insights and listener seats; the page says there is no platform fee, only a one-time setup fee, no usage credits, and a minimum 12-month contract (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: no list prices, so you cannot compare cost without a quote.
  • Choose it when: the platform fee is your main objection to Gong and you want seat types matched to roles.

ZoomInfo Chorus

  • What it does: captures and analyses calls, meetings and emails, with team performance, deal intelligence and market intelligence, plus ZoomInfo contact and company data (ZoomInfo Chorus).
  • Pricing: not published; the page offers a demo, a free trial and contact sales (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the page does not say whether Chorus can be bought without other ZoomInfo products.
  • Choose it when: you already buy ZoomInfo data and want call analysis from the same vendor.

Sales engagement suites with conversation intelligence built in

If your team also pays for a sales engagement platform, moving call recording into it can remove one contract. Our Gong vs Outreach and Gong vs Salesloft pages compare them directly.

Outreach

  • What it does: sales engagement with conversation intelligence and coaching features, including AI Coach Cards with automated scoring and live coaching in its Amplify packages (Outreach pricing).
  • Pricing: not published. The page says “Per user pricing. No platform fees. Support included”, with AI credit allowances from 10,000 (Essentials) to 100,000 (Pro) (checked 27 October 2026). See our Outreach pricing guide.
  • Limitation: the AI credit model means usage affects cost, and credit prices are not published.
  • Choose it when: reps already sequence in Outreach and you want calls and coaching next to their cadences.

Salesloft

  • What it does: lists Conversation Intelligence among its account team products, alongside its engagement platform (Salesloft pricing).
  • Pricing: not published; the page routes visitors to Talk to Sales (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the pricing page gives no packages, so you cannot see which products a quote includes until you talk to sales.
  • Choose it when: Salesloft is already your engagement platform and you want one vendor for cadences and calls.

AI role-play and coaching tools

These tools let reps practise with an AI buyer before real calls. Most do not replace Gong’s call library; some score real calls too. Our AI sales role-play software guide goes deeper.

Hyperbound

  • What it does: Practice offers role-play with AI buyers built around your sales process; Perform records and scores real conversations and flags coaching gaps (Hyperbound).
  • Pricing: not published; the pricing page names Free, Practice and Perform plans and asks visitors to book a demo (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the pricing page does not say what each plan includes.
  • Choose it when: you want practice and real-call scoring from one vendor focused on coaching.

Second Nature

  • What it does: AI role plays that mimic scenarios such as discovery calls, gamified certification, Deal Coach for coaching on live deals, and LMS connection via SCORM or LTI (Second Nature).
  • Pricing: not published; the homepage directs pricing questions to a contact form (checked 27 October 2026). Its pricing page did not load when we checked.
  • Limitation: it is a practice and certification tool; it does not position itself as a call recorder.
  • Choose it when: certification and structured practice matter more than reviewing recorded calls.

Yoodli

  • What it does: AI roleplays with custom rubrics, coaching and readiness dashboards for teams; team plans list LMS, CRM and MCP integrations (Yoodli pricing).
  • Pricing: individual Pro $8 and Advanced $20 a month, billed annually; Business and Enterprise are per seat, billed annually, with no published price (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the published prices are individual plans; team pricing needs a sales conversation.
  • Choose it when: you want to trial AI practice cheaply with a few reps before a team rollout.

Enablement suites that combine coaching and content

These platforms replace Gong’s coaching and training role and add content and training management. Three of them also offer conversation or meeting intelligence. See Gong vs Mindtickle, Allego vs Gong and Highspot vs Gong for head-to-heads.

Allego

  • What it does: sold as four products: Modern Learning plus Conversation Intelligence (including objection and competitor mentions), AI Role Play with video avatars, Content Management, and Digital Rooms (Allego pricing).
  • Pricing: not published; priced per user per month, billed annually upfront, and the page says AI and support are always included; typical term 3 years (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the typical contract term is three years, longer than many teams expect.
  • Choose it when: you want training, role-play, call insights and content from one vendor.

Highspot

  • What it does: Good, Better and Best packages; content management and digital sales rooms on every tier, training and practice from Better, and Meeting Intelligence with AI feedback on meetings on Best (Highspot pricing).
  • Pricing: not published (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: meeting intelligence is listed only on the top tier.
  • Choose it when: content management is the bigger gap and you want meeting intelligence in the same contract.

Mindtickle

  • What it does: its homepage names Conversation Intelligence, AI Role Play Simulator, Coaching, Sales Content Management and Digital Sales Rooms (Mindtickle).
  • Pricing: not published (Mindtickle pricing, checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the pricing page does not tie capabilities to packages.
  • Choose it when: readiness and certification are central and you still want calls analysed in the same platform.

Revspire

  • What it does: an AI sales enablement platform. AI Sales Training & Coaching offers AI video role-play of buyer conversations, deal-specific objection practice with battle cards, and instant AI scoring for clarity, confidence and objection handling. The AI Playbook Engine builds approved battlecards and objection plays, Content Hub governs sales content, and Digital Sales Rooms handle buyer collaboration. Gong is listed among Revspire’s integrations.
  • Pricing: priced by module with unlimited user licenses; about $25,000 USD a year on average (Revspire pricing).
  • Limitation: Revspire does not record or transcribe calls today; its Conversation Intelligence module is listed as coming soon. If managers review recorded calls, keep a recording tool alongside it.
  • Choose it when: you mainly used Gong Enable for practice and coaching and also need governed content and battlecards, or you keep Gong for recording and want practice and content added.

Worked example: pricing a cheaper stack for 20 reps

Northcairn Analytics (fictional) has 20 account executives and 3 managers. Managers review about two calls per rep a week, and reps want to rehearse pricing conversations. The team splits the job in two.

Job

Option

List cost per year

Recording and call scoring

Avoma Startup plus Conversation Intelligence, 20 recorder seats, annual

($19 + $29) x 20 x 12 = $11,520

Recording only (cheaper)

Fireflies.ai Business, 20 seats, annual

$19 x 20 x 12 = $4,560

Practice and role-play

A role-play tool from the group above

Quote needed (prices not published)

Illustrative only. List prices checked 27 October 2026, before discounts and taxes. Managers are viewers on Avoma and do not need paid seats.

Vendr’s Gong median of $55,430 a year does not state seat counts, so it is not a like-for-like comparison. The useful exercise is the split itself: price recording on its own, then price practice on its own, and compare the total with your Gong renewal quote.

How do you choose a Gong alternative?

  • List the Gong features people actually open. Call library, trackers, deal boards, forecasting and Enable are separate jobs. Usage logs from your admin often show that only two or three matter.
  • Decide whether you need recording at all. If not, a role-play or enablement tool may cover the need. If yes, start with the recording group.
  • Ask about every fee. Platform fees, setup fees, AI credits and minimum terms change total cost more than the per-seat price.
  • Check who needs a paid seat. Several tools give viewers and managers free or cheaper seats.
  • Plan the call archive. Ask Gong how you export recordings and transcripts before the contract ends.
  • Test with your own calls. Run a two-week pilot with real calls or real objections, scored by your managers.

If practice and coaching are the gap, book a Revspire demo of AI role-play with your own objections.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Gong?

It depends on the job you need to replace. For call recording and analysis at published prices, Avoma and Fireflies.ai are the easiest to price. For engagement plus calls, Outreach or Salesloft. For AI practice, Hyperbound, Second Nature or Yoodli. For coaching plus content, Allego, Highspot or Mindtickle.

Who are Gong’s main competitors?

In conversation intelligence: Avoma, ZoomInfo Chorus, Jiminny and Fireflies.ai. In revenue platforms: Outreach and Salesloft, which both offer conversation intelligence. In coaching and enablement: Mindtickle, Allego and Highspot, plus AI role-play specialists such as Hyperbound.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Gong?

Several vendors publish lower per-seat prices. Fireflies.ai Business is $19 a seat a month billed annually, and Avoma starts at $19 a recorder seat plus a $29 Conversation Intelligence add-on. Gong does not publish prices; Vendr’s median Gong buyer pays $55,430 a year.

Does Gong charge a platform fee?

Yes. Gong’s pricing page says licences are priced per user and there is a platform fee based on the number of users supported. Integrations are free. No amounts are published.

Can an AI role-play tool replace Gong?

Only partly. Role-play tools prepare reps before calls; most do not record or analyse real calls. Hyperbound’s Perform product does record and score conversations. If managers coach from recorded calls, keep a recording tool.
