Highspot vs Gong in 2026: where they compete and connect

Where content-led enablement and conversation-based revenue AI overlap, how each prices, and how the two integrate when you run both.

Updated By Kavyashree SB

Highspot or Gong: which should you choose?

Highspot vs Gong is enablement against revenue AI, now overlapping in coaching. Choose Highspot, part of Seismic, for governed content, sales plays and digital sales rooms. Choose Gong for conversation intelligence, engagement, forecasting and Gong Enable coaching. Both are quote-based; a Highspot-built integration connects them.

Choose Highspot if…

  • You need governed content, sales plays and digital sales rooms with mutual action plans in one tool.
  • You want training and coaching built on that content, with Role Play inside training (Better package) and for coaching (Best).
  • You want meeting recaps and AI delivery feedback inside your enablement tool rather than in a separate conversation intelligence product.
  • You want 100+ integrations, Deal Agent and GTM Agent, and an MCP Server for ChatGPT and Claude.

Choose Gong if…

  • You want AI built on recorded calls, emails and meetings across your revenue team.
  • You want sales engagement (Gong Engage) and forecasting (Gong Forecast) on the same platform as coaching.
  • You want role play built from your own calls: AI Trainer creates scenarios from past calls, and Dry Run rehearses upcoming meetings.
  • You will keep a separate content tool: Gong says Gong Enable is "designed to enhance your existing stack rather than replace it".

What is the difference between Highspot and Gong?

Highspot is an enablement platform. Its entry package covers content organisation and search, sales plays, digital sales rooms and Highspot Agents; training arrives in the Better package, and coaching, meeting intelligence and AI feedback on meetings in Best (Highspot pricing). Highspot has been part of Seismic since the merger completed on 18 August 2026 (Highspot blog).

Gong starts from customer conversations. It describes a Revenue AI OS that captures every customer interaction, with Gong Engage for sales engagement, Gong Forecast for forecasting and Gong Enable for onboarding and coaching (Gong). Gong does not list a content library or digital sales rooms on its product pages. Gong Enable connects to content and learning management systems through 300+ Gong Collective integrations (Gong Enable).

Both now expose their data to AI assistants. Highspot lists an MCP Server in its Best package and says it brings Highspot into ChatGPT, Claude and other AI tools (Highspot Agents), and Gong says its MCP server, for tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, is available on any Gong plan, with access depending on the user's seat (Gong Help Center).

Analyst coverage reflects the split. Highspot was a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Revenue Enablement Platforms and the Forrester Wave Q3 2024 for revenue enablement. Gong was a Leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Revenue Action Orchestration in December 2025 and again in the edition dated 13 October 2026 (Gong), and is not among the Leaders listed for revenue enablement.

Highspot vs Gong for coaching and AI role play

This is where the two now meet. Gong launched Gong Enable on 25 February 2026 and calls it an AI-powered revenue enablement solution (Gong). AI Call Reviewer scores calls automatically, AI Trainer builds role-play scenarios from past customer calls, and Lessons and Initiative Tracking turn findings into role-specific programmes and track adoption in live deals. In June 2026 Gong made AI Coach, a follow-up conversation after each practice session, and AI Builder for Scorecards, which builds scorecards from top closed-won calls, generally available. It said Dry Run, which starts a rehearsal from a calendar invite, was expected in July 2026 (Gong); the Gong Enable page now lists it.

Highspot's Role Play lets sellers practise with several buyer types in one session, draws on the content, messaging and deal context already in Highspot, and ties feedback to your coaching and competency frameworks, with progress tracked on Rep Scorecards. Its Meeting Intelligence captures calls with a Meeting Agent, produces recaps and searchable transcripts, and flags filler words, pacing and pitch variation. At launch in 2023, Highspot said it supported meetings recorded in Zoom and Microsoft Teams (Highspot).

The difference is the raw material. Gong builds practice and scorecards from the calls it records; Highspot ties practice to the content, plays and training it manages. Gong claims 70+ languages across its platform but does not break that down by feature (Gong). Pilot both with the same scenarios and the same managers.

Does Highspot integrate with Gong?

Yes. The Highspot-built integration on Gong Collective shows Highspot content shares and buyer engagement on Gong activity timelines and deal pages, lets users add Gong calls to Highspot training courses and sales plays, and lets Gong Engage customers insert Highspot content from the Gong Email Composer. Linking the two needs a Gong technical administrator account.

The partnership is not new. Highspot announced an expanded partnership and new integration with Gong in November 2021 (Highspot), and Highspot's 2023 Meeting Intelligence launch said Highspot was built to work with existing meeting intelligence tools, including Gong. Gong Collective's content category also lists a Highspot MCP Server, Seismic and Showpad (Gong Collective).

If you run both, check for overlap. Highspot's Best package adds meeting intelligence that may duplicate Gong's call recording, and Gong Enable adds role play and coaching that may duplicate Highspot's Better and Best packages. Ask each vendor to price only the modules you will use.

How does Highspot pricing compare to Gong pricing?

Neither publishes prices. Highspot sells cumulative Good, Better and Best packages by quote. Gong's pricing page says licences are priced per user plus a platform fee based on the number of users supported, and that integrating your existing stack is free. VentureBeat reported that Gong Enable has its own pricing tier, which Gong's chief product officer put "in the tens of dollars per seat per month"; Gong's own pages give no Enable price.

Vendr reports a median Highspot contract of $60,005 a year (351 purchases, February 2026), ranging $16,163 to $177,366. Vendr reports a median Gong contract of $55,359 a year (1,145 purchases, March 2026), ranging $11,497 to $203,683, and observed prices of $1,200 to $2,400 per seat a year for mid-market and enterprise buyers. Both pages show lower "deals handled" counts in their headers (167 for Highspot, 593 for Gong), so treat the figures as directional. The two contracts usually buy different things, so compare scope, not totals; the Highspot pricing guide lists what each package adds.

Frequently asked questions

Is Gong a sales enablement platform?

Partly. Gong calls itself a Revenue AI OS, and in February 2026 added Gong Enable, which it calls an AI-powered revenue enablement solution. Gong Enable covers call review, AI role play, coaching and lessons, but Gong does not list a content library or digital sales rooms on its product pages.

Does Highspot integrate with Gong?

Yes. A Highspot-built integration on Gong Collective shows Highspot content shares and buyer engagement on Gong timelines and deal pages, adds Gong calls to Highspot training and plays, and lets Gong Engage users insert Highspot content into emails.

Can Gong replace Highspot?

Not for content management or digital sales rooms, which Gong does not list on its product pages. Gong Enable can cover call-based coaching and role play, and Gong says it is designed to enhance an existing stack rather than replace it. In the other direction, Highspot's Meeting Intelligence overlaps with Gong's call recording.

Which is cheaper, Highspot or Gong?

Neither publishes prices. Vendr reports a median Highspot contract of $60,005 a year (351 purchases, February 2026) and a median Gong contract of $55,359 a year (1,145 purchases, March 2026). The products do different jobs, so compare quotes for the scope you need.

What are the alternatives to Highspot and Gong?

For enablement, the other Leaders in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Revenue Enablement Platforms were Allego, Bigtincan (now part of Showpad), Mindtickle, SalesHood, Seismic and Showpad; Highspot has since merged with Seismic. For coaching built on calls, Gong vs Mindtickle and Allego vs Gong compare Gong with two enablement platforms that include conversation intelligence.
