Brainshark Alternatives in 2026: 10 Tools for Coaching and Readiness

A practical perspective for connecting this idea to your revenue team’s next move.

The best Brainshark alternatives in 2026 depend on what you used Brainshark for. For a full readiness suite with video coaching and AI role-play, look at Allego, Highspot by Seismic, Mindtickle or SalesHood. For AI practice on its own, Hyperbound, Second Nature or Yoodli. Staying with Showpad, which now owns Brainshark, is also a real option.

Brainshark has changed owners twice since 2021 and is now sold as Showpad Brainshark. This guide gives its current status with dated sources, compares ten tools on coaching, role-play and price, and ends with a migration checklist.

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Disclosure: Revspire publishes this list and sells one of the tools on it. Revspire has one entry. Tools are listed alphabetically in the table and grouped by type below. Capabilities and prices were checked on each vendor’s own website on 29 October 2026 unless another date is given.

What happened to Brainshark?

Brainshark began as a video presentation and sales readiness platform. Its ownership changed in three steps:

  • August 2021: Bigtincan signed a binding agreement to acquire 100% of Brainshark, which the release published by Training Industry (23 August 2021) described as serving more than 900 organisations.
  • 23 April 2025: Vector Capital completed its acquisition of Bigtincan Holdings for A$0.22 a share in cash, about A$183 million, and Bigtincan left the Australian Securities Exchange (Showpad press release).
  • 30 October 2025: Vector Capital completed its acquisition of Showpad and combined it with Bigtincan under the Showpad brand, with Apratim Purakayastha as CEO (Business Wire, 30 October 2025).

So what is Brainshark today? On 29 October 2026, Showpad’s Brainshark page is titled “Showpad Brainshark” and says Brainshark is now part of Showpad. Its FAQ says Brainshark powers many of Showpad’s readiness features and can also be bought on its own by companies that do not need a full enablement system. It lists courses, AI voices and avatars for authoring, SCORM import and export, video coaching with custom rubrics, Roleplay AI, Coaching AI and readiness scorecards tied to CRM data. Its sign-in link still points to a Bigtincan address.

Three points matter at renewal:

  • It sits beside Showpad’s own plans. Showpad’s homepage lists Brainshark, Bigtincan Hub, Zunos and ClearSlide as additional tools. Its pricing page sells Professional, Advanced and Expert plans per user by quote, with courses on Professional and Roleplay AI and certifications from Advanced.
  • Brainshark features are moving into Showpad. The help article Create and manage Brainsharks (Beta) (updated 15 July 2026) describes AI-narrated presentations built in the Showpad library, on the eOS Expert plan with the Expert AI Bundle.
  • No roadmap or end date is published. The Brainshark page says nothing about roadmap, support term, migration or end of life.

For the wider Bigtincan picture, see Bigtincan and Brainshark alternatives and the Bigtincan pricing guide.

Who looks for Brainshark alternatives?

Three groups, with different shortlists:

  • Existing customers facing a contract change. Your renewal may now come from Showpad and name Brainshark, a Bigtincan edition or a Showpad plan. Ask which product it covers and for how long.
  • Teams that need video coaching and readiness. Brainshark’s core job is recorded pitch practice scored against a rubric, plus courses and certifications. Teams that want it done with AI role-play and scoring look at suites and role-play specialists.
  • Teams consolidating tools. Companies running Brainshark next to a separate content system want readiness, content and buyer engagement in one platform.

One group should be cautious about leaving: teams that use Brainshark beyond sales. Showpad’s Brainshark page lists financial advisor, compliance, HR and leadership training among its uses. For those programmes a general LMS may be the closer replacement.

What to look for in a Brainshark alternative

Ask every vendor to show each item live, with your own content.

  • Video pitch coaching. Reps record a pitch; managers score it against a rubric. Check that attempts can be compared and scores roll up to a team view.
  • AI role-play. Practice against an AI buyer with instant feedback. Ask which plan includes it: it starts on Showpad’s Advanced plan and Highspot’s Better tier, and SalesHood caps it per licence.
  • SCORM. If you have SCORM courses, confirm the new tool imports them, and exports them if a company LMS tracks completions.
  • Certifications and readiness scoring. Certifications with expiry dates, plus a readiness score you can compare with CRM results.
  • Connection to content and deals. Decide whether content management and sales rooms should live in the same platform as training.
  • Pricing model and term. Per user, per module or per plan, plus contract length. Allego, for example, says three-year terms are typical.
  • Migration help. Ask who moves your courses, videos and completion records, and at what cost.

For a wider view, see our guides to the best sales training platforms and AI sales role-play software.

Readiness and enablement suites

These platforms replace Brainshark’s training and coaching and add content management and, mostly, buyer-facing sales rooms.

Allego

  • What it does: sold as four product bundles: Modern Learning with Conversation Intelligence, AI Role Play, Content Management, and Digital Rooms with Deal Navigator (Allego pricing). AI Role Play uses AI video avatars, and coaching offers manager scoring, rubrics and side-by-side review of attempts, alongside curricula and certification paths.
  • Pricing: not published; per user per month, billed annually upfront, with three-year terms typical and one- and two-year options. AI and support are included.
  • Limitation: the pricing page does not mention SCORM, so ask how existing Brainshark courses would come across.
  • Choose it when: you want coaching, role-play, content and call insights from one vendor. Allego also offers a Buyout Program for teams locked into another vendor’s contract, with no published terms.

Highspot by Seismic

  • What it does: Highspot’s pricing page lists Good (content, sales plays, digital sales rooms, analytics, agents), Better (adds training, practice and role play) and Best (adds coaching and meeting intelligence). Seismic completed its merger with Highspot on 18 August 2026 and operates as Seismic under CEO Rob Tarkoff (Highspot blog). Seismic’s homepage also sells Learning & Coaching.
  • Pricing: not published. Vendr reports a median Highspot contract of $60,005 a year across 351 purchases (Vendr, last updated February 2026).
  • Limitation: coaching sits on the Best tier only, so a Brainshark-style programme needs the top package.
  • Choose it when: content management matters as much as training, and you are comfortable buying from a recently merged company.

Mindtickle

  • What it does: Mindtickle’s homepage names sales training, AI Sales Role Play, Coaching, a Readiness Index, Sales Content Management, Digital Sales Rooms and Conversation Intelligence.
  • Pricing: not published; the site routes buyers to a demo. Vendr reports a median of $44,356 a year across 65 purchases (Vendr, last updated February 2026).
  • Limitation: the site does not tie capabilities to packages, so check what your quote covers.
  • Choose it when: readiness scoring and certification are the centre of your programme. Our Mindtickle comparison covers it in more depth.

Revspire

  • What it does: Revspire is an AI sales enablement platform. Its AI Sales Training & Coaching module offers AI video role-play of buyer conversations, deal-specific objection practice with battle cards, instant AI scoring for clarity, confidence and objection handling, team readiness tracking, and seller onboarding, training and certification without a separate LMS. Content Hub, the AI Playbook Engine and Digital Sales Rooms cover governed content, battlecards and buyer collaboration.
  • Pricing: priced by module with unlimited user licenses; about $25,000 USD a year on average (Revspire pricing). Training and certification is sold as the Academy module, added to the Content Hub base platform.
  • Limitation: SCORM import and export and AI-narrated course authoring, two of Brainshark’s strengths, are not among Revspire’s listed capabilities. Its Conversation Intelligence module is listed as coming soon.
  • Choose it when: you want practice tied to the approved content, battlecards and deal rooms reps use with buyers, at a cost that does not grow with headcount.

SalesHood

  • What it does: an AI-powered revenue enablement platform whose homepage names content management, training and onboarding, AI coaching, AI role play, guided selling and digital sales rooms. Its pricing page lists Essential, Pro and Unlimited editions, with AI feedback and scoring on pitches from Essential and AI Coaching and Guidance from Pro.
  • Pricing: not published; the page asks you to build a package with its team.
  • Limitation: AI pitch practice and role-play submissions are capped per licence: 10 on Essential and 80 on Pro, with no cap on Unlimited.
  • Choose it when: AI-scored pitch practice is your main Brainshark use and you can size the edition to how often reps practise.

Showpad (stay with Brainshark’s owner)

  • What it does: Showpad’s homepage names Sales Readiness, Content Management, Buyer Engagement, Analytics & Insights and Revenue Execution as core products. Brainshark remains available as Showpad Brainshark, standalone or with a Showpad plan.
  • Pricing: not published; per user, with Professional, Advanced and Expert plans and add-on bundles by quote (Showpad pricing). Vendr reports a median Showpad contract of $34,875 a year across 50 purchases (Vendr, last updated February 2026).
  • Limitation: Showpad does not show how a Brainshark contract maps to its plans, and in-Showpad Brainsharks are a beta needing the Expert plan.
  • Choose it when: your courses, coaching history and integrations run well on Brainshark and you can get the support term and price in writing. Our Showpad comparison covers the platform.

Training and AI role-play specialists

These tools replace one part of Brainshark, usually practice and coaching.

Confirm Learn:Up (formerly WorkRamp)

  • What it does: Confirm, formerly Learning Pool, sells WorkRamp’s product as Learn:Up, an employee LMS with onboarding paths, pitch certifications and skills tracking. Its Practice product runs voice or text AI role-plays with scored feedback. Learning Pool announced its acquisition of WorkRamp on 15 October 2025.
  • Pricing: Learn:Up from $9 and Practice from $4 per user a month, billed annually and based on a 200-person company (Confirm pricing, checked 27 October 2026). Vendr’s WorkRamp median is $19,300 a year across 185 purchases (Vendr, last updated February 2026, before the current Confirm pricing).
  • Limitation: Learn:Up and Practice are priced separately, so add both when you compare it with a suite that includes role-play.
  • Choose it when: you used Brainshark as much for courses and certifications as for coaching, and want published prices.

Hyperbound

  • What it does: Hyperbound Practice offers role-play against AI buyers built around your sales process, and Hyperbound Perform scores real calls and flags coaching gaps (Hyperbound, checked 27 October 2026).
  • Pricing: not published; the pricing page names Free, Practice and Perform plans and asks visitors to book a demo (checked 27 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the pricing page does not say what each plan includes, so you cannot compare packaging before a demo.
  • Choose it when: AI practice and scoring of real calls matter more than formal courses.

Second Nature

  • What it does: AI role plays for discovery, cold calls, objections and demos, video avatar and multi-persona simulations, gamified certification, Deal Coach for live deals, and LMS connection via SCORM or LTI (Second Nature).
  • Pricing: not published; the homepage directs visitors to a demo or the sales team.
  • Limitation: no prices or plan names are published, so you cannot estimate cost before a demo.
  • Choose it when: you want Brainshark’s practice-and-certify loop with AI avatars, connected to the LMS you already run through SCORM or LTI.

Yoodli

  • What it does: AI roleplays with feedback; the Business and Enterprise plans add unlimited custom roleplays for every learner, custom rubrics and LMS, CRM and MCP integrations (Yoodli pricing).
  • Pricing: individual Pro $8 and Advanced $20 a month, billed annually, plus a free Starter tier; Business and Enterprise are per seat, billed annually, with no published price.
  • Limitation: the published prices are individual plans; team pricing needs a sales conversation.
  • Choose it when: you want to trial AI practice cheaply with a few reps first.

How do you migrate off Brainshark?

A Brainshark move has two parts: timing the contract and getting your training history out intact. Our sales enablement migration plan template has the inventory, mapping and cutover sheets; the points below are specific to Brainshark.

Contract timing

  • Find the dates. Renewal date, notice period and auto-renewal terms. Work back from the notice deadline.
  • Ask Showpad in writing which product your renewal covers, the support term and the price. The pages we checked give none of these.
  • Plan the overlap. You will usually run both systems for a few weeks; ask the new vendor whether it helps with that cost.
  • Export early. Confirm when access ends and request a full export while you still have admin rights.

What to export

Needed to rebuild access and reporting

Our checklist. Export formats vary by contract and configuration; confirm each with your Showpad contact.

Brainshark’s help centre has admin sections for Learning, Coaching & Machine Analysis and Scorecards & Reporting, but on 29 October 2026 it listed no article on exporting data or migrating, so request the export in writing.

Rebuild, do not copy

Coaching assignments rarely move cleanly between tools because rubrics and scoring differ. Rebuild your five most-used assignments as AI role-plays and pilot with one team first.

Illustrative example (ours): a 120-rep team renewing on 31 March with 60 days’ notice gives notice in late January, exports and rebuilds in February, pilots one region in March and moves everyone in early April, keeping the old system read-only until the export is checked.

How we evaluated these tools

We started from the jobs Brainshark does according to Showpad’s own Brainshark page: courses, video coaching, AI role-play, readiness scoring and SCORM. We picked vendors that do at least two of those jobs for sales teams, opened their product and pricing pages, and recorded what they say about coaching, role-play, training, certification and price. Ownership changes were checked against a press release or vendor announcement, and Vendr medians appear only where Vendr gives a purchase count.

We did not run trials or use review scores. Hyperbound’s and Confirm’s pages could not be reopened on 29 October 2026, so their details date from our 27 October check. Confirm every figure in writing.

If you want to see AI role-play built from your own objections next to governed content and deal rooms, you can book a Revspire demo.

Frequently asked questions

What happened to Brainshark?

Bigtincan agreed to buy Brainshark in August 2021. Vector Capital bought Bigtincan in April 2025 and combined it with Showpad under the Showpad brand on 30 October 2025. Brainshark is now sold as Showpad Brainshark, and Showpad says it powers many of Showpad’s readiness features.

Is Brainshark still available?

Yes. On 29 October 2026, Showpad’s Brainshark page says it can be bought standalone by companies that do not need a full enablement system. The page gives no roadmap, support term or end-of-life date, so ask for those in writing at renewal.

Who are Brainshark’s competitors?

In readiness and enablement suites: Allego, Highspot by Seismic, Mindtickle, SalesHood and Showpad’s own platform. In AI role-play: Hyperbound, Second Nature and Yoodli. LMS-led options include Confirm Learn:Up, formerly WorkRamp.

Is Brainshark the same as Showpad Coach?

No. Showpad Coach, formerly LearnCore, was a training product Showpad acquired in 2018, according to TrustRadius; Brainshark came to Showpad through Bigtincan. Showpad’s current homepage and pricing page do not use the Showpad Coach name and list Brainshark as a separate tool.
