Best Sales Training Platforms for 2026: Software Compared by Type
A practical perspective for connecting this idea to your revenue team’s next move.
A sales training platform is software that builds and checks sellers’ knowledge and skills through courses, learning paths, quizzes, practice and certification. The best sales training platforms in 2026 come in three types: enablement suites with training built in (Mindtickle, Allego, Highspot, Seismic Learning), methodology providers’ platforms (RAIN Group, Sandler, Challenger) and AI practice tools.
A sales readiness platform is the same category with a measurement layer: it scores whether each rep is ready, not only whether they finished the course. Below are 12 platforms with what each publishes about training formats, certification and pricing, checked on 16 October 2026. This guide covers building and certifying knowledge and skills; coaching behaviour on live calls is a separate buying decision.
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Disclosure: Revspire publishes this list and sells AI sales training and coaching software. Revspire appears once, in the AI practice group, and is not ranked above other platforms. Platforms are grouped by type and listed alphabetically within each group. Brand status, ownership and pricing models were checked on each vendor’s own site on 16 October 2026.
What is sales training software, and how is it different from coaching and enablement?
The terms overlap in vendor marketing, so it helps to separate four jobs:
- Sales training software delivers structured learning: onboarding programmes, courses, microlearning, quizzes and certifications, assigned by role.
- A sales readiness platform adds a skills model and a score: it compares each rep’s knowledge, practice results and sometimes field data against a defined standard. See our definition of sales readiness.
- Sales coaching software works on behaviour in real or rehearsed conversations: call review, role-play feedback, manager one-on-ones; see the best AI sales coaching software for that category. Our comparison of AI sales coaching vs a traditional LMS explains why the two are bought separately.
- Sales enablement software is the wider category: content, plays and buyer-facing tools as well as training. Most enablement suites now include a training module.
A general corporate LMS can host sales courses too, but it is usually built for company-wide courses and compliance rather than sales role-play, deal context or readiness scoring, so many sales teams run a sales training platform next to it.

Enablement suites with built-in sales training
These platforms combine training with content, plays and often coaching. Choose one when you want onboarding, product launches and certifications run by enablement in the same system sellers use for content.
Allego
- Choose it when: you train field or channel sellers who need mobile and offline access, and you want learning and practice from one vendor.
- Training features: structured onboarding programmes, certification paths, automated role-based assignments, mobile and offline training, live events and AI lesson authoring, plus flash drills, flashcards and skills scorecards for reinforcement. A separate AI Role Play & Coaching product adds custom badges, certifications and readiness dashboards.
- Pricing: per user per month, billed annually upfront, with a lower list price for channel and partner users and reduced pricing for non-revenue roles; no figures (Allego pricing, modified 7 Jun 2026).
- Limitation: learning and AI role-play are listed as separate products, so check which ones a quote covers.
Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)
- Brand status: brainshark.com now redirects to Bigtincan’s Readiness page (checked 16 October 2026). Bigtincan bought Brainshark in 2021 and is now a private company in Vector Capital’s portfolio (Vector Capital).
- Choose it when: you have many existing decks and recorded presentations to turn into courses quickly.
- Training features: microlearning built from slides, video, web pages, quizzes and AI voiceover in a drag-and-drop editor; learning paths adapted to role and skill gaps; RolePlayAI and CoachingAI; games, badges and leaderboards; Readiness Scorecards for individuals and teams (Bigtincan Readiness).
- Pricing: Essential and Elite platform editions with no prices; the page also suggests starting smaller with Readiness as one of three core solution areas (Bigtincan pricing).
- Limitation: the Readiness page does not mention certification, so ask how certifications are issued and tracked.
Highspot by Seismic
- Choose it when: training should sit next to the content and plays sellers already use in Highspot.
- Training features: role-specific learning paths for new hires and experienced sellers; on-demand, live, in-person, blended and instructor-led formats; AI-assisted course authoring; adaptive learning that lets reps skip material they have already mastered; SCORM and third-party content import; role-based certifications; training surfaced inside Salesforce (Highspot sales training, modified 13 Jul 2026).
- Pricing: Good, Better and Best packages with no prices. Training features start at Better (“Train and practice”); Good lists none (Highspot pricing, modified 7 Aug 2026).
- Ownership: Seismic completed its merger with Highspot on 18 August 2026 and operates under the Seismic name (Highspot blog). Seismic also sells Seismic Learning, so ask which training product the combined roadmap will favour.
- Limitation: the entry package includes no training features.
Mindtickle
- Choose it when: you want readiness measured against a defined ideal-rep profile, with training assigned from the gaps.
- Training features: onboarding and training programmes for sellers and partners, microlearning and assessments, knowledge tests and pitch practice, AI that turns documents into videos and podcasts and translates content, and mobile learning, with certifications on the same platform (Mindtickle training).
- Readiness: the Readiness Index scores each rep’s skills, knowledge and behaviours against an Ideal Rep Profile and aligns them with CRM data on quota, win rates, sales cycles and pipeline (Readiness Index). AI role-play certification can be automated based on scores the customer sets (Mindtickle role-play).
- Pricing: not published; the Mindtickle pricing URL showed no plans or figures on 16 October 2026.
- Limitation: the training page does not mention SCORM or LMS interoperability, so ask how existing courses move across.
SalesHood
- Choose it when: you want training, onboarding and AI practice with AI usage limits stated per plan.
- Training features: Essential covers training and onboarding, seller readiness, AI practice, AI feedback and scoring on pitches and performance reports; Pro adds AI coaching and guidance, guided selling and digital sales rooms. - Pricing: Essential, Pro and Unlimited packages, quoted on request; no prices shown.
- Limitation: the pricing page does not tie certification to any plan.
Seismic Learning (formerly Lessonly)
- Brand status: lessonly.com now redirects to Seismic’s Learning page (checked 16 October 2026).
- Choose it when: your sales content already lives in Seismic.
- Training features: interactive online courses, microlearning, AI role-plays for onboarding, personalised coaching plans that highlight knowledge gaps, coaching playbooks, mobile access and integrations with LMS, CRM and content-authoring tools (Seismic Learning).
- Pricing: the product page offers a demo or sales contact, with no prices; seismic.com/pricing could not be loaded on 16 October 2026.
- Limitation: the product page does not name learning paths, certifications or formal assessments.
Methodology providers’ training platforms
Buy from a methodology provider when the goal is to adopt a selling system, with its language, stages and planning tools, and the software exists to deliver and reinforce it. These platforms are content-led and often built on or connected to other vendors’ software: RAIN Group’s client login is hosted on Allego, Sandler’s AI Roleplay Coach is powered by Yoodli, and Challenger’s AI trackers run in Gong.
Challenger (part of Richardson)
- Ownership: Richardson Sales Performance announced its acquisition of Challenger on 16 September 2024 (citybiz, 16 Sep 2024); Challenger’s site footer now reads “Powered by Richardson”.
- Choose it when: you are adopting, or already run, the Challenger methodology.
- Training features: online courses on the Challenger Hub learning platform, with an on-demand course library, role-based content control, adoption reports, LinkedIn-shareable badges and the option to load content into your own LMS (Challenger courses, modified 4 Dec 2025).
- AI tools: AI Smart Trackers and an AI Playbook in Gong, a Salesforce app, Accelerate Prism for role-based learning in Slack, Teams and Salesforce, and QuickCheck mobile assessments of two to three minutes (Challenger AI tools, 3 Dec 2025, modified 10 Jun 2026).
- Pricing: none published; demo or meeting request.
- Limitation: its AI role-play product, AccelerateAI, was listed as not yet available to customers, with an early-access waitlist (page modified 10 June 2026), and the Smart Trackers need your own Gong subscription.
RAIN Group
- Choose it when: you run RAIN Group programmes and want practice and account planning scored against them.
- Training features: the Catalyst enablement platform includes RAIN Group’s sales training library. RAIN Sales AI, built into Catalyst, adds Conversation AI role-plays with AI buyers modelled on your customers, Planner AI coaching on opportunity, negotiation and account plans scored against your methodology, and Measure AI dashboards for skill development and coaching impact (RAIN Sales AI). The homepage also lists self-study courses, a full content library and a sales assessment; its client login points to raingroup.allego.com (RAIN Group).
- Pricing: none published; contact sales.
- Limitation: the AI page does not say whether the AI tools can be bought without the training library.
Sandler
- Choose it when: your team uses, or is adopting, the Sandler Selling System.
- Training features: Sandler training with reinforcement services. The Sandler AI Roleplay Coach, “powered by Yoodli”, gives real-time feedback on pacing, tone and delivery in role-plays that adapt to the rep’s answers, with progress tracking for individuals and teams; it can be used standalone or inside Sandler certification programmes (Sandler AI Roleplay Coach). The homepage also lists PerformanceIQ, a data-driven performance development offer (Sandler).
- Pricing: none published; contact Sandler.
- Limitation: the homepage links to a learning portal but does not describe what it includes, so ask for a walkthrough of the learner experience.
AI practice platforms with readiness scoring
These tools add realistic practice and scoring to whatever LMS or enablement suite you already have; none of them describes a course catalogue. Use them when reps know the material but cannot yet say it well under pressure. For a feature-by-feature comparison, see best AI sales role-play software in 2026.
Hyperbound
- Choose it when: you onboard SDR and AE cohorts often and want practice volume and scores, including for hiring.
- Training features: AI role-plays and scoring of real calls, with listed use cases for onboarding, change management, pre-call prep and hiring (Hyperbound).
- Pricing: Free, Practice and Perform plans; paid plans via demo with no prices (Hyperbound pricing).
- Limitation: its site describes role-plays and call scoring, not courses, learning paths or certifications.
Revspire
Revspire publishes this list. Its AI Sales Training & Coaching module sits on the same platform as the playbooks and battlecards sellers use in deals.
- Choose it when: you want practice built on the objections, competitors and battlecards in current deals, and readiness tracked by team.
- Training features: AI video role-play of buyer conversations; deal-specific objection practice with battlecards; instant AI scoring of clarity, confidence and objection handling; team readiness, improvement and performance tracking. Its Partner Portal gives partners governed access to training and certifications, with completion and certification analytics.
- Pricing: Launch Suite $39.99 and Elevate Suite $79.99 per user per month; Spark Suite is custom. No suite on the pricing page lists training features, so ask for module pricing in a demo (Revspire pricing).
- Limitation: the sales training page describes practice, scoring and readiness dashboards, not course authoring, learning paths or SCORM import, so teams that need a course catalogue keep an LMS or enablement suite alongside it.
Second Nature
- Choose it when: you want AI role-play results to flow into the LMS you already run.
- Training features: AI role-plays for discovery calls, cold calls, objection handling and product demos, with scoring and manager insights (customer quotes on the homepage describe using it for certification); integrations with LMSs via SCORM or LTI, CRMs and SAML single sign-on (Second Nature).
- Pricing: no prices; plans are discussed through a demo request. Its pricing page could not be loaded on 16 October 2026.
- Limitation: it is a practice tool; the homepage describes no course authoring or learning paths.
How does sales readiness software track certification?
Vendors use three mechanisms, often together:
- Completion-based certification. A rep finishes a course or path and passes a quiz. Easy to run, but it proves exposure, not skill. Allego (certification paths) and Highspot (role-based certifications) both list certifications inside their learning products.
- Assessed practice. A rep records a pitch or completes a role-play, and an AI, a manager or both score it against a rubric. Mindtickle can certify automatically based on role-play scores the customer sets; Allego pairs manager rubrics with badges and certifications.
- A readiness score. A composite of knowledge, practice and sometimes field data, compared with a target profile: Mindtickle’s Readiness Index, Bigtincan’s Readiness Scorecards, Highspot’s 360° assessments and RAIN Group’s Measure AI dashboards.
A certification is only as good as its rubric. Before you trust one, check that each dimension has observable behaviour anchors, that AI and manager scores agree on a calibration sample, that a critical error (a wrong price, a compliance miss) fails the attempt whatever the total, and that reps recertify when the product or message changes. Our guide to sales readiness scorecards and certification covers weighting and calibration in detail.
How to choose a sales training platform
Selection checklist
- Start from the skills model. List the knowledge and skills each role must show, and the methodology they follow, before you look at features.
- Authoring effort. Who builds courses, and from what? AI authoring from existing decks and recordings (Allego, Bigtincan, Highspot, Mindtickle) matters most when enablement is a small team.
- Formats. On-demand, live and instructor-led, mobile and offline, microlearning. Field and channel sellers need mobile access.
- Practice and assessment. Can a path move from quiz to recorded pitch to scored role-play, with certification at the end?
- Interoperability. SCORM import (Highspot), LMS connections via SCORM or LTI (Second Nature), methodology content loaded into your LMS (Challenger), plus HRIS and CRM sync for assignments and reporting.
- Reinforcement. Spaced drills and short assessments after the course (Allego flash drills, Challenger QuickCheck). See sales training reinforcement with spaced practice.
- Measurement. Completion, then certification, then behaviour on real calls, then outcomes. Ask which of these the platform reports and which need another system.
- Commercial terms. Package gates (Highspot training starts at Better), AI allowances (SalesHood role-play submissions per licence), billing and term (Allego bills annually upfront) and pricing for partner users.
Which type fits your situation?
- Rolling out a new sales methodology: start with the methodology provider’s programme and platform, then check that it connects to the enablement suite or CRM where sellers work.
- Scaling onboarding across many hires and products: an enablement suite with learning paths, AI authoring and certification.
- You already have an LMS for compliance and courses: add an AI practice tool that reports back to it, rather than a second course catalogue.
- Training channel partners: look for partner pricing and partner-facing portals with certification tracking.
How much does sales training software cost?
Only Revspire publishes per-user figures among these 12, and its suites do not list training features; Hyperbound lists a free plan. Every other platform is quote-based. What you can compare is structure: per user billed annually upfront with partner discounts (Allego), named packages that gate training features (Highspot, SalesHood, Bigtincan), and demo-only pricing (Mindtickle, Seismic Learning, Second Nature and all three methodology providers). If a methodology provider bundles its software with a training programme, ask for the software cost separately in case you later deliver the content yourself.
Frequently asked questions
Which sales training platform is best?
It depends on the job. For onboarding and certification at scale, enablement suites such as Mindtickle, Allego and Highspot by Seismic are the usual shortlist; for adopting a methodology, the provider’s own platform (RAIN Group, Sandler, Challenger) fits best; and to add realistic practice to an existing LMS, an AI practice tool such as Second Nature or Hyperbound. Shortlist by type first, then compare authoring, certification and pricing terms.
What is a sales readiness platform?
A sales readiness platform is sales training software that also measures whether each rep is ready to sell, usually through certifications, scored practice and a readiness score against a target profile. Mindtickle’s Readiness Index and Bigtincan’s Readiness Scorecards are examples. The difference from a plain training tool is the score, not the courses.
What is the difference between sales enablement and sales training?
Sales training builds sellers’ knowledge and skills through courses, practice and certification. Sales enablement is broader: it also gives sellers the content, plays, tools and buyer-facing assets they use in deals. Training is usually one module inside an enablement platform.
Do you still need an LMS if you buy a sales training platform?
Often yes, for company-wide compliance and HR training. Many sales teams keep the corporate LMS for that and use a sales training platform for role-based paths, practice and certification; check for SCORM or LTI support so courses and results can move between them.
What is the best AI sales training tool?
For AI-built courses, look at Highspot, Allego, Bigtincan and Mindtickle, which all describe AI authoring. For AI role-play practice, Second Nature, Hyperbound and Mindtickle are common shortlists, and methodology providers now offer their own (RAIN Sales AI, Sandler’s AI Roleplay Coach). Test any AI scoring against your managers’ scores before using it for certification.
How we chose these platforms
We grouped platforms by type and picked widely used options in each: enablement suites with a training module, the training platforms of three established methodology providers, and AI practice tools that report readiness. We checked brand status (for example, which legacy names now redirect), ownership and pricing on each vendor’s own pages on 16 October 2026. We did not test the products hands-on or use reviews, ratings or vendor-reported customer results. To judge whether a programme worked after launch, see how to evaluate sales training with the Kirkpatrick model.
