Is DocSend part of Dropbox?

Yes. Dropbox agreed to buy DocSend for $165 million in cash on 9 March 2021 and completed the deal on 22 March 2021. It is now sold as Dropbox DocSend, and its help articles live on the Dropbox Help Center.

Does DocSend have a free plan or free trial?

DocSend lists no free plan on its pricing page. New sign-ups get a 14-day trial of Advanced Data Rooms, capped at 500 documents, 20 team members and 50 signatures. Without a card on file at the end, the account moves to a free limited trial plan and links that use premium features stop working. Papermark, Dock and PandaDoc each list a free plan.

When should you choose DocSend instead of Revspire?

Choose DocSend if:

  • You run fundraising or M&A diligence: Advanced Data Rooms ($180 a month billed yearly, 3 users) adds a Diligence tracker, an audit log, group permissions and room analytics.
  • You want signatures and NDAs in the same tool: Standard and above list unlimited eSignature requests, and NDAs that gate a document start on Advanced.
  • You need a few seats on a self-serve plan with published prices, not a platform for a whole revenue team.
  • Your files live in Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, OneDrive or Egnyte, which DocSend lists as integrations.

When should you choose Revspire instead of DocSend?

Choose Revspire if:

  • You share content as part of a multi-stakeholder deal and want mutual action plans and buying-committee stakeholder mapping in the same room.
  • You want a governed content library, with versioning that keeps every shared link current and content recommendations inside the CRM.
  • You use HubSpot as well as Salesforce: Revspire integrates with both, while DocSend sells Salesforce as an add-on and lists no HubSpot integration.
  • You want battlecards, objection plays and AI role-play for reps beside the content they share.
  • You want unlimited user licenses: Revspire is priced by module with unlimited user licenses; about $25,000 USD a year on average.
