10 Best AI SDR Tools in 2026

A practical perspective for connecting this idea to your revenue team’s next move.

An AI SDR (AI sales development representative) is software that does sales development work: it researches accounts, writes and sends outreach, answers replies and books meetings. The best AI SDR tools in 2026 include 11x, AiSDR and Artisan for outbound, Conversica and Qualified for inbound, agents in Apollo, HubSpot, Outreach and Salesforce, and Clay for data workflows.

Each tool is described from its own product and pricing pages, with one limitation and when to choose it. The category is young, so the questions to ask before you switch one on matter as much as the list.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Disclosure: Revspire publishes this list and does not sell an AI SDR tool, so it is not included. Tools are grouped by type, with each vendor’s own published information checked on 20 October 2026. Within each group they are listed alphabetically; the order is not a ranking.

What is an AI SDR?

An AI SDR is a software agent that takes on some or all of a sales development rep’s job: finding accounts that fit your ideal customer profile (ICP), researching them, writing and sending outreach, answering replies and booking meetings for account executives. An AI BDR (business development representative) is the same kind of product. Tools differ in how much they do without a person:

  • Autonomous outbound AI SDRs find prospects, write, send and handle replies.
  • Inbound AI SDRs answer form fills and website visitors within minutes, qualify them and book meetings.
  • Agents inside sales platforms research and draft inside the CRM or sales engagement tool reps already use.
  • Building blocks supply data and workflows for teams that build their own process.

A sales engagement platform runs sequences that people design and send; our guide to sales engagement platforms covers those tools, and the line is blurring as they add agents.

Expect change. In a press release of 28 July 2026, Gartner predicted that AI agents will outnumber sellers 10 to 1 by 2028, yet fewer than 40% of sellers will say agents improved their productivity. Its first recommendation is a centralized context layer connecting company data, systems and seller judgment: an agent is only as good as what it draws on.

How to choose an AI SDR tool

  • Motion: outbound, inbound or both; most tools are built for one.
  • Autonomy controls: approval mode, escalation rules, and who can switch on autopilot.
  • Data source: the vendor’s database, your CRM or a provider you already pay for.
  • Sending infrastructure: whose domains and mailboxes, warm-up, bounce checks and unsubscribes.
  • Message grounding: where the agent gets product facts and approved claims, and whether you can restrict them.
  • CRM fit: two-way sync on the plan you would buy, with every message logged.
  • Commercial terms: per contact, per lead, credits, per seat or quoted; contract length.

Autonomous outbound AI SDRs

These tools run the outbound loop: build a list, research, write, send, follow up and hand interested replies to a person.

11x

11x sells 11x Outbound (formerly Alice) and 11x Inbound (formerly Julian), whose voice and chat agents respond to inbound leads, qualify buyers and book meetings (11x Inbound). Its homepage still uses the names Alice and Julian.

  • Standout capabilities: lists from your CRM or a database of about 400M contacts, refreshed by signals such as funding and job changes; email, social and a power dialer in one sequence; Smart Replies that answer questions and escalate sensitive conversations; several languages (11x Outbound). The homepage lists HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive.
  • Pricing: not published; the site offers demos (checked 20 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the outbound page describes no review step before messages send, so ask how approval works.
  • Choose it if: you want outbound and inbound voice agents from one vendor.

AiSDR

AiSDR calls itself an AI SDR for outbound and says it also follows up inbound leads (AiSDR).

  • Standout capabilities: lists built from web signals you define, such as LinkedIn posts and hiring; research before writing; email, LinkedIn and phone; FAQ and objection replies, qualification and booking, with complex cases escalated to people.
  • Pricing: pay as you go at $1.50 per person prospected, charged daily, cancel anytime; includes warm-up, bounce checks, AI replies and HubSpot sync. Team plans for 1,000+ contacts a month are priced by volume on quarterly or annual terms (pricing, checked 20 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the Salesforce integration and a DPA are listed under Team plans only.
  • Choose it if: you want a small pilot at a published per-contact price.

Artisan

Artisan sells Ava, which it calls an AI BDR working alongside your team (Artisan).

  • Standout capabilities: 250M+ verified B2B contacts or your CRM records; enrichment from 22+ sources; email and social sequences; replies, objection handling and booking. Approval mode drafts every reply and waits for a click; autopilot sends without one. Exclusion and do-not-contact lists are enforced, with Salesforce and HubSpot sync. The homepage lists SOC 2 Type II and GDPR.
  • Pricing: Team (about 2,500 leads contacted a month) and Scale (about 6,000) are scoped through sales; Enterprise is custom (pricing, checked 20 October 2026).
  • Limitation: no prices are shown, and phone steps go to reps in an AI dialer sold as a per-seat add-on.
  • Choose it if: you want to start in approval mode and move to autopilot later.

Inbound AI SDRs

Inbound agents work on people who already raised a hand, so speed and accurate answers matter more than list building.

Conversica

Conversica offers AI Agents that follow up inquiries from website forms, chatbots and other inbound tools (inbound inquiries).

  • Standout capabilities: outreach within minutes of a form fill; follow-up over several days that adjusts tone, timing and channel (email, SMS, messaging); two-way qualification; booking and routing to the right team.
  • Pricing: no prices on the page checked (20 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the use-case page names no CRM, and Conversica’s help center describes its HubSpot and Marketo integrations as syncing lists to a conversation, so confirm how leads reach it from your stack.
  • Choose it if: inbound leads wait too long for a first reply.

Qualified (Piper)

Qualified sells Piper the AI SDR Agent, which converts inbound website traffic and follows up inbound leads (Piper). An editor’s note on Salesforce’s 17 December 2025 announcement says it completed the acquisition of Qualified on 1 April 2026 (Salesforce).

  • Standout capabilities: website conversations by video, voice or chat; email follow-up and inbox replies; meeting booking from website forms and live chat; Slack alerts; integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo and 6sense.
  • Pricing: Premier, Enterprise and Ultimate, all “Contact us”, sized by monthly web sessions (250K to 5M) and active email contacts (2.5K to 24K) (pricing, checked 20 October 2026).
  • Limitation: agent handoff and API access start at Enterprise, and the Piper page describes inbound use only.
  • Choose it if: your website is the main pipeline source.

AI SDR agents inside sales platforms

If your team already lives in one CRM or engagement tool, its agents may cover research and drafting without a new vendor. Most keep a rep in the conversation.

Apollo

Apollo combines 240M+ contacts and 30M+ companies with sequences and AI (outbound sales software).

  • Standout capabilities: an AI Assistant that builds lists and campaigns from plain language, researches prospects and writes outreach; email, dialer and social steps. An Apollo article of 7 April 2026 adds Outbound Copilot, which puts ICP-matching prospects into sequences on a set cadence, and an AI Research Agent (Apollo).
  • Pricing: Free, Basic, Professional and Custom; the pricing page names AI features in the Professional plan’s description (pricing, checked 20 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the outbound page lists a unified rep inbox as “coming soon” and does not describe AI reply handling.
  • Choose it if: you want data, sequences and AI prospecting in one tool, starting free.

HubSpot (Prospecting agent)

HubSpot’s Prospecting agent is built into Sales Hub (Prospecting agent).

  • Standout capabilities: signal monitoring (funding, leadership changes, site visits); ICP scoring; contacts and buying committees sourced from ZoomInfo, Apollo, Surfe and Seamless; emails drafted in each rep’s voice. Reps can review and edit drafted emails before they send, or switch to fully autonomous mode.
  • Pricing: $1 per lead, charged when the agent recommends outreach, running on HubSpot Credits; available in the Starter, Professional and Enterprise editions (Prospecting agent, checked 20 October 2026). The Sales Hub pricing page lists 500, 3,000 and 5,000 included credits for those three editions.
  • Limitation: the product page does not describe the agent handling replies or booking meetings.
  • Choose it if: HubSpot is your CRM and reps should own the conversation.

Outreach

Outreach lists its AI agents on a page now at outreach.ai; the outreach.io address redirects there (AI agents).

  • Standout capabilities: a Research Agent combining conversation, engagement and public third-party data; a Revenue Agent that finds high-intent accounts, sources contacts and drafts outreach; a Personalization Agent; Agent Studio. Admins set how autonomous agents are by segment.
  • Pricing: per user with no platform fee, plus AI credits; four Amplify packages include 10,000 to 100,000 credits, all “Request pricing”; Revenue and Personalization agents start at Core (pricing, checked 20 October 2026).
  • Limitation: the Reply Agent is listed as coming soon.
  • Choose it if: your SDRs already sequence in Outreach.

Salesforce (Agentforce)

Salesforce markets AI sales agents built on Agentforce for prospecting and inbound leads (AI sales agents, modified 28 September 2026).

  • Standout capabilities: intent ranking, research across Salesforce, call recordings and the web, and personalized drafts; inbound agents that create leads, answer questions from CRM data, FAQs and sales plays, and offer meeting slots with a rep. The Prospecting Agent, built into Sales Cloud, starts sellers each day with a prioritized list of accounts.
  • Pricing: Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000, $2 per conversation, or Agentforce add-ons for Sales at $125 per user per month; no SDR-specific price (Agentforce pricing, checked 20 October 2026).
  • Limitation: Salesforce says cost depends on how many conversations agents handle and how deeply they connect to your data, so model usage before rollout.
  • Choose it if: Salesforce is your system of record.

Building blocks for your own AI SDR

Clay

Clay sells data, AI research agents and workflows for go-to-market teams; results can go to its native sequencer or into messaging automation (Clay).

  • Standout capabilities: 200+ data providers with waterfall enrichment; Claygent and Account Agents for research; a visual workflow canvas; job-change signals; a native sequencer.
  • Pricing: Free; Launch and Growth priced by monthly actions and data credits; Enterprise custom; unlimited seats (pricing, checked 20 October 2026).
  • Limitation: someone has to design the workflow, and CRM sync starts at Growth.
  • Choose it if: a RevOps or GTM engineer wants research you fully control.

What to ask before an AI SDR sends on your behalf

Human oversight

Pilot in review mode (Artisan and HubSpot offer one). Agree which replies always go to a person, such as pricing, legal terms and complaints, and who may switch on autopilot.

Deliverability

Google’s email sender guidelines say that since 1 February 2024, senders of more than 5,000 messages a day to Gmail accounts must set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC for their domain, support one-click unsubscribe in marketing messages, and keep spam rates reported in Postmaster Tools below 0.30%. Ask whose domains the agent sends from and who owns them afterwards.

Data quality

Vendors count databases in different units (verified contacts, contacts, profiles), so sizes are not comparable. Test coverage and bounce rates on a sample of your own ICP.

Messaging and brand safety

An AI SDR repeats whatever claims it is given, at volume. In a Gartner survey of 632 B2B buyers (25 June 2025), 73% said they actively avoid suppliers who send irrelevant outreach, and 69% reported inconsistencies between a supplier’s website and its sellers. Give the agent approved, current messaging and content with named owners. Our guide to governing GTM knowledge for reps and AI agents covers approved claims and permissions, and sales content governance defines the practice. Revspire’s Content Hub is a governed sales content repository that keeps every version current: the kind of source an agent should draw on.

Data protection and compliance

AI SDRs process personal data, so check each vendor’s data sourcing, DPA and compliance terms, and read compliance claims as the vendor’s own statements. General information, not legal advice:

  • US email: the FTC says CAN-SPAM makes no exception for business-to-business email, opt-outs must be honoured within 10 business days, and hiring another company to send does not transfer your responsibility (FTC).
  • UK: the ICO says PECR’s rule on direct marketing by electronic mail does not apply to corporate subscribers, but a work email address that identifies a person is still personal data under UK GDPR, and that person’s right to object to direct marketing is absolute. The ICO notes this guidance is under review after the Data (Use and Access) Act (ICO).
  • Voice agents: in a declaratory ruling announced on 8 February 2024, the FCC said calls made with AI-generated voices are “artificial” under the TCPA, so the consent rules for artificial or prerecorded voice calls apply to them (FCC).

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI SDR?

An AI SDR, or AI sales development representative, is software that researches prospects, writes and sends outreach, handles replies and books meetings. Some run outbound end to end, some answer inbound leads, and some sit inside a CRM. An AI BDR is the same idea.

Can an AI SDR replace human SDRs?

The vendors here describe people staying involved: 11x, AiSDR and Artisan escalate complex or sensitive conversations to your team, and the CRM agents keep reps in the conversation. Plan for a mixed team and measure meetings that account executives accept, not emails sent.

How much do AI SDR tools cost?

On 20 October 2026, AiSDR listed $1.50 per person prospected and HubSpot’s Prospecting agent $1 per lead. Salesforce prices Agentforce by credits, conversations or per-user add-ons. 11x, Artisan, Qualified, Outreach and Conversica showed no prices on the pages we checked, so add data, mailboxes and setup to any quote.

What is the difference between an AI SDR and a sales engagement platform?

A sales engagement platform runs sequences that people design and send. An AI SDR decides more on its own: who to contact, what to write and how to reply. Outreach, Apollo and HubSpot now add agents to sequencing, so the difference is how much is automated.

Is AI SDR outreach legal under GDPR and CAN-SPAM?

This is general information, not legal advice: the rules depend on where recipients are and how outreach is run. The FTC says CAN-SPAM makes no exception for business email in the US, and the ICO says a work email address that identifies a person is personal data under UK GDPR. Check the vendor’s data sourcing and DPA, and ask your own counsel.

How we checked these tools

We described each tool from its own pages on 20 October 2026. We did not test the products, and we left out review ratings and vendor-reported results such as meeting or reply-rate claims. Confirm prices with the vendor.
