Does Apollo.io publish its prices?
Apollo.io pricing has a Free plan plus Basic, Professional and Custom. Apollo's September 2026 plan guide puts Basic at $49 per user per month billed annually and Professional at $79 per user per month. Vendr's February 2026 median is $19,000 a year (101 purchases).
Yes, though not all on one page. Apollo.io's pricing page names four plans, Free, Basic, Professional and Custom, and explains billing and credits. The prices below come from Apollo's own plan guide, "Apollo Plan Details: What You're Really Paying For", written by The Apollo Team and dated 17 September 2026: "Free costs $0", "Basic runs $49/user/month billed annually" and "Professional is $79/user/month." The guide gives no billing basis for Professional, so confirm whether $79 is the annual or the monthly rate.
The guide also lists a tier the pricing page does not show: "Organization is $119/user/month with a 3-user minimum". The pricing page lists Custom instead, for "Teams needing custom volumes, SSO, advanced security, and dedicated support", and its price is not given in the plan guide. Apollo's March 2026 AI Assistant release and Vendr both still refer to an Org or Organization plan, so ask whether Organization is still sold, and at what price, before you compare it with a Custom quote.
What do Apollo.io's Free, Basic, Professional and Custom plans include?
Apollo's pricing page describes each plan by the seller it suits rather than with a full feature list. Professional is the first plan it ties to AI features and call recording, and Custom the plan it ties to SSO and API access:
| Plan | How Apollo's pricing page describes it | Price in Apollo's plan guide (17 September 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Free | "Exploring Apollo or very light usage. Good for founders and early-stage teams." | "Free costs $0" |
| Basic | "Individual sellers doing regular outbound. Includes email sequencing and core integrations." | $49 per user per month, billed annually |
| Professional | "Full-time reps needing higher credit limits, AI features, call recording, and advanced CRM integrations." | $79 per user per month; no billing basis stated |
| Custom | "Teams needing custom volumes, SSO, advanced security, and dedicated support." | Not listed; the guide lists Organization at $119 per user per month with a 3-user minimum |
The plan guide adds that Professional "adds workflow automation, AI research, and a dialer", and that the free tier lets smaller teams test "core search and enrichment" before upgrading. The pricing page says "API access is available on Custom plans". Neither page gave a full feature-by-plan grid in the text we read, so ask for one with your quote.
On its homepage, Apollo names its products as Apollo Data Access, Workspace, Apollo Anywhere and Builder Studio, with features including waterfall enrichment, deliverability, a Chrome extension, a Parallel Dialer, AI Assistant and Apollo MCP. The pricing page does not say which plan each of them needs.
Monthly or annual billing, and seat minimums
Apollo's pricing page offers both. Monthly billing means "Pay month-to-month, cancel anytime. Higher effective per-month cost." Annual billing is paid upfront "at a discounted rate". The page does not state the size of the discount, and the plan guide labels only Basic's $49 as "billed annually".
Vendr, which says pricing is "structured per user per month", reports that monthly billing is available for Basic and Professional "at a premium (typically 20–30% higher than annual rates)" and that annual contracts are "typically required for Professional and Organization tiers". Those are Vendr's observations, not Apollo terms.
On seats, the only minimum in the Apollo pages we opened is the plan guide's 3-user minimum for Organization. Neither the pricing page nor the guide states a minimum for Basic or Professional, and Custom is sized to "custom volumes". Because every paid plan is priced per user, the bill grows with each seat you add.
How do Apollo.io credits work?
"Apollo uses credits as the currency to perform activities throughout the platform," its pricing page says, and depending on the plan they unlock "emails, phone numbers, email warmup, domains & mailboxes, AI-researched data, and more". Credits are shared: "Credits are pooled across your entire team and granted upfront at the start of each billing cycle". They do not build up: "Credits reset at the start of each new billing cycle and do not roll over if unused."
Apollo's plan guide says "Each tier includes an annual credit allowance that scales with the plan", but neither it nor the pricing page text we read gives the number of credits in any plan. The guide does say what common actions cost:
| Action | Credits, as Apollo states them |
|---|---|
| Verified email | "Up to 1 credit" |
| Mobile number reveal | "Several credits per contact" |
| Waterfall enrichment | "Multiple credits per record" |
| AI research job | "1 credit per record/column combo" |
Apollo's help-centre article Review Credit Usage in Apollo, updated 15 October 2026, lists the activities that draw on credits, from email and phone numbers to waterfall enrichment, job changes, AI research, email infrastructure, exports and the API. It says email and mobile data "use separate credit balances" and that "Calls that ring out, are busy, fail, or are canceled use zero credits."
Extra credits are bought in Apollo's settings and are "charged immediately when added", the pricing page says, and the plan guide adds that "Add-on credit packs renew automatically unless a team scales them back before the next cycle." Unused credits "expire at the end of each billing cycle and don't roll forward". None of the Apollo pages we opened gives the credits in a plan or a price per add-on credit, so there is no published basis for a cost per contact.
Which Apollo.io AI features does each plan get?
Apollo launched its AI Assistant on 4 March 2026, saying it "is embedded directly into core workflows and actually does the work" and "supports a human-in-the-loop approach". The release names three capabilities, Natural Language Workflow Execution, Full-Funnel Support and Business-specific Outputs, and calls the result "the first fully agentic GTM operating system designed to replace legacy sales tools", which is Apollo's own claim.
On price, the release says "AI Assistant is currently free as an introductory offer on Basic, Pro, and Org plans" and "Free plans include up to 5 chats." An introductory offer can end, so ask whether and how AI Assistant use will be charged at renewal. AI research jobs draw on credits at "1 credit per record/column combo", and the plan guide places AI research, workflow automation and a dialer in Professional.
What does Apollo.io say about its data, compliance and funding?
Credits buy access to Apollo's database, so coverage is part of what you pay for. Apollo.io says on its homepage that it has "240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts with trusted B2B data", and it invites visitors to "Join over 600,000 companies using Apollo". Its August 2023 funding release cited "verified contact data for over 270 million B2B contacts", a different figure from today's homepage. Neither number tells you how well Apollo covers your territory, so test a sample of your own target accounts during a trial.
On compliance, the homepage says Apollo has "Enterprise-grade security and certifications, including SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001", and that its "Agents are designed to help keep your prospecting compliant, with built-in support for consent and opt-out rules". Those are Apollo's statements; whether your own use of the data is lawful is a question for your privacy counsel.
Apollo is venture-backed. In a release dated 29 August 2023, Apollo.io said it had "raised $100M in Series D funding led by Bain Capital Ventures (BCV)", with Sequoia Capital, Tribe Capital and Nexus Venture Partners participating, at a valuation of $1.6 billion, bringing its total funding to about $250 million. We could not open Apollo's newsroom on 21 October 2026, so later funding or acquisitions are not covered here.
How much does Apollo.io cost per year?
Vendr reports a median Apollo.io contract of $19,000 a year from 101 purchases (last updated February 2026), with a low of $4,284 and a high of $45,000. The page header shows 87 deals handled rather than 101 and does not explain the gap, so treat the figures as directional. They are Vendr estimates from purchase data, not Apollo prices.
Vendr says "Apollo's pricing is based on a freemium model with tiered subscriptions" and that "mobile credits (phone number access) are capped per user per year". It adds that going over the annual cap brings overage charges of "typically $0.50–$1.00 per additional credit". Apollo's own pages describe add-on credit packs but give no per-credit price, so treat Vendr's range as an estimate and ask Apollo for the add-on price in writing.

What drives the cost of an Apollo.io plan?
Apollo's pricing page and plan guide name the inputs to the bill; the contract terms are Vendr's observations, not Apollo terms:
- Plan. Basic, Professional and Organization are priced per user per month in Apollo's plan guide, and the pricing page offers Custom for teams needing "custom volumes", SSO and dedicated support.
- Seats. Prices are per user, so the bill grows with headcount; the plan guide gives Organization a 3-user minimum.
- Billing term. Monthly billing has a "Higher effective per-month cost", and annual billing is paid upfront at a discount Apollo does not size. Vendr says monthly billing typically runs 20–30% above annual rates.
- Credits. Each plan's allowance is pooled across the team and resets every billing cycle, so unused credits are lost; add-on packs are charged when added and renew automatically.
- Credit-heavy actions. A mobile number reveal costs "Several credits per contact" and waterfall enrichment "Multiple credits per record", against up to 1 credit for a verified email, so a phone-led team uses credits faster.
- AI Assistant. Free as an introductory offer on Basic, Pro and Org plans, with up to 5 chats on free plans; ask how it will be priced when the offer ends.
- Renewals. Vendr says Apollo contracts typically auto-renew with 60 to 90 day notice periods and often include annual price increases of typically 5–10%.
What should you ask Apollo.io before buying?
- What does each plan cost on monthly and on annual billing, and is Professional's $79 per user per month the annual or the monthly rate?
- Is the Organization plan ($119 per user per month with a 3-user minimum in Apollo's September 2026 guide) still sold, or has Custom replaced it, and what does Custom cost?
- How many credits of each type does your plan include, for each user or for the team, and per month or per year?
- What does an add-on credit pack cost, and can you scale it back before it renews automatically?
- Will AI Assistant stay free on your plan after the introductory offer, and do AI research jobs have their own limits?
- Does an annual contract auto-renew, what notice period applies, and will Apollo cap any price increase at renewal?
Frequently asked questions
How much does Apollo.io cost?
Apollo's September 2026 plan guide lists Free at $0, Basic at $49 per user per month billed annually, Professional at $79 per user per month and Organization at $119 per user per month with a 3-user minimum; the pricing page now lists Custom in place of Organization. Vendr reports a median contract of $19,000 a year (101 purchases, February 2026).
Does Apollo.io have a free plan?
Yes. Apollo's pricing page lists Free for "Exploring Apollo or very light usage", its plan guide says "Free costs $0", and its AI Assistant release says "Free plans include up to 5 chats." The pricing page's trial FAQ says that after a trial you can move to "our free Starter plan — which stays free with no time limit". The pages we opened do not say whether a card is required.
How do Apollo.io credits work, and do they roll over?
Credits are Apollo's currency for actions such as revealing emails and phone numbers, enrichment and AI research. They are pooled across the team, granted at the start of each billing cycle and reset at the next, and unused credits "do not roll over". The Apollo pages we opened do not state how many credits each plan includes.
Does Apollo.io have a minimum number of users?
Only for Organization, which Apollo's plan guide lists at $119 per user per month "with a 3-user minimum". The Apollo pages we opened state no minimum for Basic or Professional. Paid plans are priced per user per month, so the bill grows with each seat.
Is Apollo.io's AI Assistant included in paid plans?
For now. Apollo's 4 March 2026 release says "AI Assistant is currently free as an introductory offer on Basic, Pro, and Org plans" and that free plans include up to 5 chats. AI research jobs still draw on credits, at "1 credit per record/column combo".
Is monthly billing more expensive than annual billing?
Yes. Apollo says monthly billing has a "Higher effective per-month cost" and that annual billing is paid upfront "at a discounted rate", without sizing the discount. Vendr says monthly billing for Basic and Professional is typically 20–30% higher than annual rates.
