ZoomInfo Chorus or Avoma: which should you choose?
ZoomInfo Chorus vs Avoma compares conversation intelligence bought two ways. Choose Chorus if you already license ZoomInfo data and want calls analysed beside it, quoted by sales. Choose Avoma for published recorder-seat prices from $19 a month, free viewer seats and scheduling.
Choose ZoomInfo Chorus if…
- You already buy ZoomInfo data: Chorus puts call, meeting and email analysis next to the contact and company records your reps already search, and syncs contacts and communications to the CRM.
- You want market and competitive intelligence from calls: the Chorus page covers "the voice of the customer", deal trends and competitive insights, and the atlas page triggers actions on topics such as competitive mentions.
- You are standardising on one vendor for data, prospecting and call review rather than buying a point tool, and you are content with a quote rather than a price list.
- Enterprise procurement is already done: ZoomInfo is a public company, Nasdaq GTM, and states ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2 Type II, TRUSTe GDPR and TRUSTe CCPA certifications on its homepage.
Choose Avoma if…
- You want a published price: three plans at $19, $29 and $39 per "recorder" seat a month billed annually, no platform fee, and free viewer and collaborator access for people who only review calls.
- You are paying for a minority of your team: only people whose meetings are recorded need a seat, so coaches, CS and executives who watch recordings cost nothing.
- Scheduling is part of the job: unlimited 1:1 scheduling on Startup, group and round-robin scheduling on Organization, and a Lead Router add-on at $19 per seat a month.
- You want agents listed by name, and a trial that proves it: ten pre-built agent templates on its agentic platform page, and a "Free 14-day trial of the Organization plan" described as an "Unrestricted trial with all Add-ons enabled".

What is the difference between ZoomInfo Chorus and Avoma?
One is a product inside a data platform; the other is a standalone tool. ZoomInfo's Chorus page, titled "ZoomInfo Chorus AI: Conversation Intelligence for Sales" under the headline "Make Every Interaction Count", presents Chorus as capturing and analysing customer calls, meetings and emails to show why deals are won or lost. Chorus has been part of ZoomInfo since July 2021, when ZoomInfo acquired Chorus.ai and announced the first integrations between the two, making ZoomInfo the primary enrichment source behind Chorus records (Business Wire). ZoomInfo's homepage still lists Chorus under conversation intelligence, beside Copilot, GTM Workspace and its data products.
Avoma sells the whole meeting lifecycle as its own platform. It describes itself as "An all-in-one AI Meeting Assistant, Conversation and Revenue Intelligence platform" and groups the product into AI Meeting Assistant, Scheduler & Lead Router, Conversation Intelligence, Revenue Intelligence and an Agentic Platform holding Ask Avoma, MCP and an API Platform (Avoma). Its mid-market page sells the same idea in revenue terms: "Unlock revenue signals from prospect and customer conversations" (Avoma).
The practical difference is what else comes in the box. Chorus brings ZoomInfo's database with it: ZoomInfo states "verified data on 500M+ contacts and 100M+ companies" on its homepage, and Chorus's connected-intelligence features put that record beside the call history. Avoma brings scheduling and routing instead, which Chorus does not list, and publishes a price. Neither lists a sales content library or a buyer-facing deal room on its product pages.
How do they compare on recording, coaching and forecasting?
Both record and analyse calls, and both tie the result to deals. Chorus's page covers call analysis with transcription, team performance and onboarding (identifying winning behaviours, shortening ramp time and checking methodology adherence), deal intelligence that syncs contacts and communications to the CRM and tracks deal momentum and account health, and market intelligence on customer and competitive trends. Its undated atlas page, headed "Operationalize Your Revenue Success", adds call coaching and scorecards and sharing call snippets across teams, and describes triggering go-to-market actions from conversation topics.
Avoma splits the same ground into named modules, and two of them are paid add-ons rather than plan tiers. Its conversation intelligence module lists "Live Answer Assistant, AI Call Scoring, Talk-pattern Insights, Custom Smart Trackers, Activity & Engagement Insights", and its revenue intelligence module lists "Deal & Churn Risk Alerts, AI Sales Methodology Scoring, Pipeline Review & CRM Updates, Forecasting & Reports, AI Win-Loss Analysis". On the pricing page each of those is a $29 per-seat-per-month add-on, with the Organization plan carrying only "Limited Conversation Intelligence", so call scoring and forecasting are a line item at Avoma rather than something a plan upgrade settles.
Scheduling is the clearest feature gap. Avoma's Startup plan includes "Unlimited 1:1 Scheduling" and Organization adds "Group and Round-robin Scheduling", with a Lead Router add-on at $19 per seat a month billed annually. Neither Chorus page lists scheduling or lead routing. In the other direction, neither Avoma nor Chorus lists AI role-play practice as a product: Avoma names a "roleplay agent" template on its agentic platform page, with no plan or price attached, and Chorus names no practice tool at all, so teams that want certification and practice need a separate tool.
Which AI features does each vendor name?
This is where the two read most differently. Chorus is described in terms of patents rather than models: the product page says it is "Backed by 14 technology patents that leverage proprietary machine-learning", and the atlas page never uses the word AI. Neither page names an AI agent or a generative AI feature. ZoomInfo's platform messaging around Copilot and GTM Studio is separate from Chorus, so a buyer should ask what Chorus itself ships rather than reading across.
Avoma leads with agents. Its agentic AI platform page, headed "Keep revenue moving between human decisions", names a Revenue AI Agent and an Avoma AI Agent and lists ten pre-built templates: note-taking, CRM entry, follow up, sequence, roleplay, coaching, battle card, win-loss analysis, forecasting and risk detector. Agents are scoped as personal, able to reach every meeting that person can access including private ones, or cross-team, limited to organisation-wide and publicly visible meetings. The page names no plan and no price for agents, and does not say whether runs are metered. Avoma also offers an MCP connection and an API platform for its own data, which Chorus's pages do not mention.
Integrations follow the same split. Avoma names Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting and Highfive for conferencing; Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Copper, Zendesk Sell and Zoho for CRM; Aircall, Dialpad, RingCentral, Zoom Phone, Groove and Outreach for dialers; and Slack, ClickUp and Microsoft Teams Chat for collaboration. Chorus's pages promise to "Automate activities across your tech stack" and deliver "Actionable data & insights where you work" but name only a CRM sync and, in a testimonial, that "Chorus automatically connects to Zoom." On a ZoomInfo contract, integrations also carry a cost: its sales pricing page says pre-packaged integrations "typically have a base cost to use and install" and "require a minimum purchase of bulk credits for immediate use upon installation" (ZoomInfo).
How does ZoomInfo Chorus pricing compare to Avoma pricing?
Avoma publishes prices; ZoomInfo does not. Avoma's pricing page shows three plans priced "Per 'recorder' seat per month." under a billing toggle labelled "Save Up To 33%": billed annually, Startup is $19, Organization $29 and Enterprise $39; billed monthly, Startup is $29 and Organization $39, while the Enterprise card reads "Billed annually only. Viewers are free." The page lists no platform fee and no setup fee, and its seat rule is the headline: "Only pay for meeting recorder users" and "Viewers and Collaborators are always free". Conversation intelligence is not a plan but an add-on at $29 per seat per month billed annually, as is Revenue Intelligence, with Lead Router at $19, so a team buying Avoma for the job Chorus does pays the plan plus that add-on - $58 per recorder seat a month on Organization, or $696 a seat a year. Avoma's own help centre uses different licence names - Basic, Starter, Plus, Business and Enterprise, with seat minimums of 1, 3 and 10 - and publishes no prices at all (help centre), so ask which licence a quote covers.
ZoomInfo gives no Chorus price, no plan names and no billing unit on either Chorus page; the buttons are a demo request, a free trial and contact sales, with no trial length stated. Its pricing page says "ZoomInfo offers custom packages based on your B2B data use cases and needs" and packages by use case rather than product, the nearest being "Revenue intelligence", described as "Understand why deals are won and lost, and coach reps from their own calls." Its pricing FAQ says a quote is built from features, "the number of licenses" and credit usage, where a credit is one exported profile.
The third-party data points the same way. Vendr says the "Median buyer pays $23,112 per year" for Avoma, ranging from $12,471 to $35,154, "Last updated: February 2026", with no purchase count shown and a header that labels the figure "Avg Contract Value". For ZoomInfo as a whole, Vendr reports a median of $33,500 a year from 1,577 purchases (last updated February 2026), from $7,240 to $156,042, with a header showing 1012 deals handled that it does not explain. No Chorus-only Vendr page was reachable, so the ZoomInfo figure covers whatever mix of data and products those buyers bought. Both sets are Vendr estimates, not vendor prices.
Compare like for like. Count only the people who will be recorded, since Avoma charges for those seats alone, then price Avoma as a plan plus whichever add-ons carry the features you are comparing, and ask ZoomInfo to quote the Chorus licences, the data licences and the credit allotment as separate lines so you can see what conversation intelligence actually costs. Our ZoomInfo Chorus pricing and Avoma pricing guides go line by line, and the ZoomInfo pricing guide covers the platform packaging behind a Chorus quote.
Ownership, consent and compliance
The ownership question is a roadmap question. Chorus belongs to a public company: ZoomInfo trades on Nasdaq as GTM after changing its ticker from ZI on 13 May 2025, and its investor site presents it as "ZoomInfo (NASDAQ:GTM)", listing the acquisition of Workbounce on 14 October 2026. Chorus itself was acquired in 2021 and the Chorus pages we checked name no release since, so ask where conversation intelligence sits in ZoomInfo's current plan before a multi-year term. Avoma is private and venture-backed: it says it raised "$12M in Series A funding" led by Headline, with Storm Ventures, Global Founder Capital, Zoom Apps Fund, Operator Partners and Industry Ventures (Avoma); that post is undated and refers to growth "in 2022 and beyond", and we found no later round. Avoma says it is "Trusted by 1000+ large and small next generation modern organizations across the globe."
Recording changes the compliance conversation, because the vendor holds conversation content rather than contact records. Avoma states on its enterprise page that it "supports key standards such as SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, EU-US DPF, and CPRA, as well as SSL encryption", names no ISO certification there, and sells consent as a feature: policies that "Enforce Enterprise-grade recording compliance with automated consent policies and permission modes", with recording blocked if a participant declines. ZoomInfo says on its homepage that it "holds ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2 Type II, TRUSTe GDPR, and TRUSTe CCPA certifications" and that it "processes professional contact data under GDPR's legitimate-interest basis". Those are each vendor's own statements. We found no Chorus-specific trust page and no statement from either vendor, on the pages we checked, about how long recordings are kept or whether call content trains models, so ask both in writing and take recording-consent law in your markets to your own counsel.
Frequently asked questions
Which is better, ZoomInfo Chorus or Avoma?
Neither is better in general. Chorus suits teams already licensing ZoomInfo data who want calls analysed beside those records and will buy on a quote. Avoma suits teams that want recording, notes and scheduling at a published seat price, paying only for people who record, with a 14-day trial first. Pilot both on the same deals before deciding.
How much do ZoomInfo Chorus and Avoma cost?
Avoma publishes three plans per "recorder" seat a month: $19, $29 and $39 billed annually, or $29 and $39 billed monthly for the first two. Conversation Intelligence and Revenue Intelligence are $29 add-ons and Lead Router $19. ZoomInfo publishes no Chorus price. Vendr reports medians of $23,112 a year for Avoma (February 2026, no purchase count) and $33,500 for ZoomInfo (1,577 purchases).
Can you buy Chorus without a ZoomInfo subscription?
None of the ZoomInfo pages we checked on 21 October 2026 says whether Chorus can be licensed on its own. It sits on zoominfo.com and atlas.zoominfo.com, was acquired in July 2021, and its connected-intelligence features draw on ZoomInfo contact and company data. Ask ZoomInfo directly and get the answer written into the quote.
Does either tool include AI role play for reps?
Not as a product. Avoma names a "roleplay agent" among the ten templates on its agentic platform page, with no plan or price attached, and neither Chorus page names a practice or certification tool. Teams that want scored role play alongside call review generally buy a separate AI role-play or readiness tool.
What are the alternatives to ZoomInfo Chorus and Avoma?
Gong is the larger quote-based option, priced per user with a platform fee, and Salesloft and Outreach fold call intelligence into sales engagement; see Gong vs Outreach and our best conversation intelligence software round-up. Clari Copilot and Fireflies are the other names both vendors compare themselves with.
