Trumpet vs Dock in 2026: sales rooms, pricing and AI compared

Two digital sales room tools with free plans and published prices, compared on rooms, AI, training, integrations and cost.

Updated By Kavyashree SB

Trumpet or Dock: which should you choose?

Trumpet vs Dock is a choice between two sales room tools that both publish prices and offer free plans. Choose Trumpet for per-user plans built around branded Pods and deal coaching. Choose Dock for team-based pricing that adds courses, playbooks and AI role play.

Choose Trumpet if…

  • You want to pay per seller: Pro is $45 per user per month for up to 5 users, and Scale ($100) has no user cap.
  • You want AI deal coaching inside the room: Coach Casey scores deal health and flags stall risk and stakeholder gaps from the Scale plan.
  • Your CRM is Microsoft Dynamics, Pipedrive, Close or ActiveCampaign, which Trumpet's integrations page lists alongside Salesforce and HubSpot.
  • Your security review asks for ISO 27001 as well as SOC 2 Type II: Trumpet shows both badges, plus GDPR.

Choose Dock if…

  • You want rep training in the same tool: Dock lists courses with quizzes and certificates, playbooks and voice AI role play.
  • You prefer team plans to per-user pricing: Standard is $350 a month for 5 users and Premium $1,000 a month, billed annually, for 10.
  • You want quotes signed inside the room: order forms with native e-signature are unlimited from the Standard plan.
  • You want AI on every plan: Dock AI uses no credits (fair-use caps apply), and its beta MCP server is on all plans.

What is the difference between Trumpet and Dock?

Both start from a buyer-facing room with a mutual action plan, and both publish prices. Trumpet calls its rooms Pods and describes itself as "the AI buyer-facing execution layer" for revenue teams (Trumpet). A Pod is a branded workspace that stays live, with real-time alerts when buyers engage and engagement scoring (Trumpet). Its AI and account features stay close to the deal: Coach Casey for deal health, AI org charts, and Accounts View (8 October 2026), which groups every Pod for one CRM company and adds Customer Pods with statuses from onboarding to renewal (Trumpet).

Dock has widened from rooms into enablement. Its homepage now calls it "the AI revenue enablement platform built for the way people buy today" (Dock), a shift it announced in October 2025 (Dock). In 2026 it shipped Playbooks in January, Courses in March, Slides in May, and SCORM import and certifications in July (Dock). Its sales rooms add Buyer AI Chat grounded in room content and alerts when a new stakeholder joins (Dock), and sit beside onboarding workspaces, client portals, order forms with native e-signature, a content library, courses and voice AI Roleplay. Trumpet's product pages list no courses, certifications or role-play practice.

The mutual action plans are close. In both, steps carry owners, due dates and automated reminders, and buyers can mark steps complete without logging in (Trumpet added this in a relaunch on 12 February 2026). Trumpet adds a calendar view and a handoff from account executive to customer success (Trumpet); Dock adds a Kanban view, buyer comments and file uploads, and internal-only tasks (Dock).

Both are venture-backed startups founded in 2021. Trumpet raised a $6.35m seed round led by AlbionVC in August 2024 (AlbionVC). Dock has raised $6.5m: a $3m seed led by Altman Capital in May 2022 and $3.5m from Craft Ventures in June 2023 (Dock). We found no later round, acquisition or merger for either as of October 2026.

How does Trumpet pricing compare to Dock pricing?

Both publish prices, but they charge in different units. Trumpet charges per user: Pro is $45 per user per month for up to 5 users, Scale $100 and Elite $160, or $450, $1,000 and $1,600 per user a year billed annually (Trumpet pricing). Dock charges per team and only for internal users, so buyers, clients and partners join free: Standard is $350 a month with 5 users, Premium $1,000 a month billed annually with 10 users, extra seats on either are $50 a month, and Enterprise is a custom annual contract for 25+ users (Dock pricing). Dock does not say whether Standard is billed monthly or annually.

At list price, before any discount, five users cost $225 a month on Trumpet Pro or $500 on Scale, against $350 on Dock Standard. Ten users cost $1,000 a month on Trumpet Scale ($10,000 a year billed annually), against $600 a month on Dock Standard with five extra seats or $12,000 a year on Premium. The tiers are not equivalent. Both put Salesforce and HubSpot on their first paid tier. Trumpet starts proposals, e-signature, AI content tools and the Gong, DocuSign and PandaDoc integrations at Scale. Dock puts unlimited order forms on Standard and starts Google Drive and SharePoint sync and logo removal at Premium. We found no dated third-party price benchmark with a stated sample size for either vendor.

Both Free plans stop at 10 rooms. Trumpet's is "free forever" with 10 Pods, unlimited users, mutual action plans and basic analytics, and existing Pods stay live at the limit. Dock's allows 10 workspaces, 25 content assets, 1 presentation, 1 playbook, 1 course, 1 order form and limited AI. Dock's own pages differ on two points: its help article dated 18 June 2026 lists unlimited users and 5 linked Salesforce or HubSpot accounts, while its pricing table, checked on 16 October 2026, shows users and both CRM integrations as not included on Free. Trumpet's Free card lists "Scale Plan features (10 Pod limit)" and integrations, while the same page says every integration starts at Scale. Ask either vendor to confirm in writing before you plan around CRM sync on a free plan.

How do Trumpet and Dock compare on AI and role play?

Trumpet tiers its AI by plan. Coach Casey, launched on 2 October 2025, gives red, amber and green deal health, stall-risk detection and stakeholder-coverage gaps, and comes with Scale (Trumpet). Copilot, with a read-only Ask Mode and an Agent Mode that builds and edits Pods, launched on Elite on 23 July 2026 alongside Canvas, a vibe-coding widget builder, and an MCP Client (Trumpet). Trumpet's MCP server, announced on 14 July 2026, lets Claude, ChatGPT, Glean and Gong build Pods from templates and pull engagement and deal-health data (Trumpet).

Dock includes Dock AI on every plan with no credits or tokens, subject to fair-use caps (Free is limited), and says it does not use customer data to train AI models (Dock AI). Since 13 October 2026 it can create workspaces, playbooks, courses and order forms, and edit workspaces and playbooks, from sources such as websites, call transcripts and files (Dock). Its MCP server has been live in beta on all plans since 18 June 2026 and works with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot (Dock).

Only Dock lists AI role play. Reps practise by voice with an AI buyer on a video call and are scored against scorecards the team writes, with built-in MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, SPIN, Challenger, Gap Selling and Command of the Message scorecards; the page does not say which plans include it (Dock). Coach Casey also draws on MEDDICC and Challenger, but to assess deals rather than to train reps. Neither lists a call recorder of its own on its product pages: both take call data from tools such as Gong and Zoom.

Do Trumpet and Dock integrate with Salesforce, HubSpot and Gong?

Both do, at different tiers. Trumpet's pricing FAQ puts two-way Salesforce and HubSpot sync on Pro, with Gong, Slack, DocuSign and PandaDoc "higher up the plans" (Trumpet pricing). Its integrations page lists 55+ integrations (the pricing page says 40+), including Microsoft Dynamics, Pipedrive, Close and ActiveCampaign as CRMs, Gong, Modjo and Zoom for calls, and Salesloft, Outreach, Slack and Microsoft Teams (Trumpet integrations). Trumpet also lists itself as a Gong Official Partner.

Dock's Salesforce and HubSpot integrations start on Standard. Salesforce sync is two-way: views, downloads, link clicks and action plan events land as Salesforce Tasks, and signed order forms create Opportunity Line Items with the PDF on the record. Premium adds custom field mapping, and Enterprise adds rules that create workspaces from matching opportunities (Dock). Its integrations page lists Gong, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Chorus, Fathom, Avoma and Loom, plus Slack, Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion and Confluence, and no CRM beyond Salesforce and HubSpot (Dock integrations). The Dock API is Enterprise-only. Neither vendor lists the other as an integration.

On security, Trumpet shows SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and GDPR badges and keeps SSO and SCIM for Elite. Dock states GDPR compliance and SOC 2 Type II with annual penetration tests, and its security page does not mention ISO 27001 (Dock security); it offers Google and Microsoft sign-in on every plan and keeps Okta and Azure SSO and SCIM for Enterprise. Both host their trust centres on Vanta.

Enterprise enablement suites such as Highspot, Mindtickle and Allego offer digital sales rooms alongside content and training, but do not publish their rates.
