Does CaptivateIQ publish its pricing?

CaptivateIQ pricing is quote-based: its pricing page shows no prices and describes per-seat pricing, counting admin users plus payees, with a one-time setup fee. ASC 606 reporting is an add-on. Vendr's February 2026 data (310 purchases) puts the median contract at $37,522 a year.

No. CaptivateIQ's pricing page, headed "Competitive pricing fit for your business", showed no prices, plan names, currency or billing toggle when we checked on 21 October 2026. It says "Contact us for a custom quote", and its buttons read "Get a Custom Quote", "Get pricing" and "Book a meeting". There is no free trial on the page; it offers a product tour instead ("See for yourself with a product tour").

The page names three products, CaptivateIQ Incentives, Planning and Catalyst, but does not price them as tiers, and Vendr says "CaptivateIQ does not publish standard list pricing" and "does not offer publicly defined tiers in the traditional sense." What the pricing page does publish is the model: what counts as a seat, which fees apply and which items cost extra.

How does CaptivateIQ's per-seat pricing work?

CaptivateIQ describes "Simple, per-seat pricing" that "doesn't skyrocket over time plus a one-time setup fee to get you up and running quickly." The important detail is what a seat is: "Seats are based on the number of admin users plus the total number of payees". A payee is anyone paid through the platform, so the seat count covers every rep, manager or other employee on a commission plan, not only the people who run it. Its FAQ adds that price is "based on the number of payees, the complexity of compensation plans, and the integrations required to support commission and planning workflows", and that "Pricing is designed to scale with organizational needs and is typically customized."

The pricing page and its FAQ say which items are included and which cost extra, without giving any amounts:

What CaptivateIQ's pricing page says about seats, fees and add-ons, checked 21 October 2026 (no prices shown)
ItemWhat the pricing page saysIncluded or extra

Support"several managed services options with three tiers of support"; the basic tier guarantees "responses in 24 hours"Tiers not priced on the page

The page also says CaptivateIQ "is partnered with the leading players in the commissions space" for teams that use systems integrators, and that an implementation it leads "can be up and running in a matter of weeks instead of months." It states no seat minimum, contract length or renewal terms.

What do CaptivateIQ Incentives, Planning and Catalyst cover?

CaptivateIQ's homepage presents it as "Sales Performance Management", "A unified platform that connects compensation, planning, and AI in a way legacy tools can't replicate." CaptivateIQ Incentives is the commissions product: "Automate commissions and deliver a better Return on Incentives." CaptivateIQ Planning is for sales and territory planning ("Simplify sales planning and maximize territory effectiveness."), with capacity planning, quota setting and territory management among its use cases. CaptivateIQ Catalyst is an "Advanced modeling layer for planning and incentives with predictive ML." All three run on SmartGrid, its data and calculation engine.

The Incentives page covers no-code data management, a guided plan builder, workflow automation, reporting and an AI-powered payee experience on web and mobile with "Explainable statements," "Personalized guidance," and "Self-serve answers." The pricing page does not say whether Planning and Catalyst are priced separately from Incentives, so ask for each product as its own line if you need more than commissions.

Are CaptivateIQ's AI agents included in the price?

CaptivateIQ does not say. Its AI agents page, headed "Planning and incentives agents that simply work.", names three agents. Comp Builder Agent lets you "Describe your compensation plan in plain language and the agent builds for you." Comp Ops Agent is meant to "Manage payout approvals, catch commission calculation errors and anomalies, and process with confidence every time." Rev Planning Agent works from your territory goals and "builds, distributes, and surfaces the plan for approval."

The page says "Every AI agent action is governed by the same permissions, rules, and approval processes", and lists a CaptivateIQ MCP Server, marked "Coming Soon", for "secure, governed access to your live compensation and planning data." Neither the AI agents page nor the pricing page says whether the agents, Catalyst or the MCP Server are in the subscription or cost extra, so get that in writing.

Which integrations shape a CaptivateIQ quote?

Integrations are one of the three inputs CaptivateIQ's pricing FAQ names, so list the systems your commission data comes from before you ask for a quote. Its integrations page names 20: Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics CRM; ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR and Workday; NetSuite; Amazon Redshift, BigQuery and Snowflake; MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL; QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Intacct, Stripe and Zuora; plus an Open API and SFTP. The Salesforce integration lets you "Pull in opportunities and closed deals to stay up to date."

The integrations page does not say whether any integration costs extra. The pricing page's "Flexible setup & support" section says you choose the number of seats and integrations, so ask which of your sources the quote includes and whether adding one later changes the price.

What does CaptivateIQ say about security, analysts and funding?

On security, CaptivateIQ's Trust Center says it is "undergoing annual independent audits for SOC 1 and SOC 2 compliance", that "we encrypt customer data with AES-256, block-level encryption when stored" and use TLS in transit, and that "The CaptivateIQ platform enables customers in meeting requirements of SOX". Audit reports are available through its Trust Report. It names no ISO certification. These are CaptivateIQ's statements; ask for the current reports during procurement.

CaptivateIQ says it was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales Performance Management, whose citation on its page is dated 6 July 2026, and a Leader in The Forrester Wave: Sales Performance Management Solutions for Incentive Compensation, Q1 2025, where it says "we earned perfect scores in innovation, AI, data modeling, pricing, and time-to-value".

CaptivateIQ is private and venture-backed. Its About page says it was "Founded by Mark Schopmeyer, Conway Teng, and Hubert Wong" in 2017, lists Conway Teng as CEO and cites "$164.6M in funding from Sequoia, Accel, ICONIQ, Sapphire, Workday Ventures, and other leading investors". Its timeline lists a Series C in 2022 led by ICONIQ Growth, Accel, Sequoia and Sapphire, and no acquisitions.

How much does CaptivateIQ cost per year?

Vendr reports a median CaptivateIQ contract of $37,522 a year from 310 purchases (last updated February 2026), with a low of $12,074 and a high of $100,327. The page header labels the same $37,522 "Avg Contract Value" and shows 149 deals handled rather than 310, without explaining the gap, so treat the figures as directional. They are Vendr estimates from purchase data, not CaptivateIQ prices.

Vendr says CaptivateIQ is "quoted on a per-payee, per-month basis", estimates mid-market pricing at $25 to $60 per payee a month, and puts the contract minimum at "Often $20K–$30K annually". It estimates implementation fees of $10,000 to $30,000 for mid-market deployments, $5,000 to $15,000 for small ones and $30,000 to $100,000+ for enterprise, or 10 to 30% of first-year contract value. CaptivateIQ's own pages give none of these figures, so ask for the seat price, setup fee and any add-ons as separate lines.

For comparison, Salesforce publishes a list price for its commissions product: Salesforce Spiff is "$ 75 USD/User/Month (Billed annually)". See our Salesforce Spiff pricing guide and the CaptivateIQ vs Salesforce Spiff comparison.

What drives the cost of a CaptivateIQ contract?

CaptivateIQ's pricing page names the inputs to a quote; the contract terms are Vendr's observations, not CaptivateIQ terms:

  • Payees. Every payee is a seat, so headcount on commission plans is the main meter. Vendr says CaptivateIQ quotes per payee per month.
  • Admin users. Admins are counted as seats on top of payees.
  • Plan complexity. CaptivateIQ's FAQ names "the complexity of compensation plans" as a price input, so many plan variants, splits or overlays can raise a quote.
  • Integrations. The integrations required are the third named input; the integrations page does not say which, if any, cost extra.
  • Setup and implementation. A one-time setup fee applies, and the level of implementation assistance is scoped with a product expert; no amounts are published.
  • Add-ons and support. ASC 606 reporting is an add-on subscription, and support comes in three managed-services tiers. Reporting is included.
  • Term and renewals. Vendr reports mostly annual subscriptions, 15–25% lower annual pricing on two- or three-year terms and renewal escalators of typically 3–7%. CaptivateIQ's pages state no contract length.

What should you ask CaptivateIQ before signing?

  • Who counts as a payee: every rep on a plan, managers with overrides, partners, people who leave mid-year? Is the seat count fixed for the term or trued up?
  • What do an admin seat and a payee seat each cost, and is there a minimum number of seats or a minimum contract value?
  • What is the one-time setup fee, and what does it cover compared with implementation assistance or a systems integrator?
  • Are Planning, Catalyst, the AI agents and the coming MCP Server included, or priced as separate lines?
  • Which of your source systems (CRM, HR, ERP, data warehouse) are included, and does adding one later change the price?
  • What do ASC 606 reporting and each managed-services support tier cost, and what renewal cap will CaptivateIQ put in writing?
