Showpad or Showell: which should you choose?

Showpad vs Showell compares two field-sales platforms that both work offline. Choose Showpad for AI role play, agents and a broader suite, quoted per user. Choose Showell for a branded presenting app and a published price from $715 per workspace a month, users included.

Choose Showpad if…

  • You want AI agents: Genie Agents come on every plan, with Genie Agent Studio, a Field Seller Agent and a remote MCP server on Expert.
  • You want an analyst-evaluated vendor: Showpad was a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Revenue Enablement Platforms.
  • You already run Brainshark or Bigtincan Hub, which now sit in the Showpad product family.

  • You sell through dealer networks or field teams in manufacturing or MedTech, the segments Showell builds its site around.
  • You want your own branded app on web, iOS, Android, Windows and Mac, with offline presenting and unlimited sales rooms.
  • You want EU data hosting: Showell hosts data in AWS data centres in the EU and is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified.

What is the difference between Showpad and Showell?

Both are built for field sales. Showpad says its platform is "designed for the complex reality of field sales" and names healthcare and medical devices, manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, chemicals, technology and financial services among its industries (Showpad). Showell calls itself "the only native field sales enablement platform on the market", for companies that sell through field teams and dealer networks, and has manufacturing and MedTech pages (Showell).

The difference is scope. Showpad stacks content management, a training library, Roleplay AI, knowledge checks and certifications, buyer-facing Shared Spaces, analytics and its Genie AI layer across three plans (Showpad pricing), and its homepage lists Brainshark, Bigtincan Hub, Zunos and ClearSlide as additional tools. Showell centres on a content library, presentations, sharing and tracking, digital sales rooms and a branded app; courses and quizzes come in an LMS add-on with no published price (Showell pricing).

The companies differ in size and ownership. Vector Capital completed its acquisition of Showpad on 30 October 2025 and combined it with Bigtincan; the business reports more than 2,000 customers in 50 countries (Business Wire). Showell was founded in 2012 by brothers Sami and Juha Suni (Showell) and is headquartered in Finland, with offices in London and Chicago (Showell); the last funding we found was a EUR 1m round in 2019 (Cyprus Mail). We found no integration between the two products. Showell instead runs a Showpad-alternative page headed "100% European-Built and Owned".

On security, Showpad lists GDPR and SOC 2 compliance on every plan. Showell lists ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, GDPR and CCPA compliance and hosting in AWS data centres in the EU (Showell), and its pricing page lists a "SOC2 compliant cloud service" without saying whose SOC 2 report that is. Ask both vendors for their SOC 2 reports, and ask Showpad where your data would be hosted if residency matters.

Showpad vs Showell for offline selling, buyer rooms and dealers

Both work offline. Every Showpad plan includes mobile, offline and browser access, and Shared Spaces on the Professional plan host 3D and AR assets (Showpad pricing). Showell's branded app runs on the web, iPad and iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac, with offline browsing and presenting in the device apps (Showell), and its presentations can include interactive 3D and AR content. Its Smart Sales Tools, such as configurators, ROI calculators and forms, run offline and hold CRM-bound data on the device until it reconnects; tools that need live data cannot run offline. Showell does not build these tools itself but works with partners, and its Flow Apps add lead capture, product configuration and quote-to-order flows.

For buyer-facing pages, Showpad uses Shared Spaces: Advanced adds templates and Search AI, and Expert adds a Field Seller Agent and quick actions. Showell's Professional plan includes unlimited digital sales rooms with page- and slide-level view tracking, buyer messaging, video greetings, expiry dates and download controls. Mutual action plans are not listed on either pricing page, so ask both if you need them.

Both also sell to indirect channels. Showell's dealer enablement page covers permissions over who can access, present and share content, automatic content updates and dealer training, and quotes Kubota and Ponsse. Showpad's channel selling page targets VARs, system integrators, service providers and technology partners, routing content by partner type and region, with partner learning paths, assignable Roleplay AI scenarios and offline access on tablets, phones and laptops. Neither page publishes partner licence pricing.

Do Showpad and Showell offer AI role play and AI agents?

Showpad lists more AI features. Genie Assistant and Agents come on every plan; Advanced adds voice chat, deep research, Roleplay AI, knowledge checks and certifications; Expert adds Genie Agent Studio with custom agents, Authoring AI, AI CRM recommendations, a Field Seller Agent and a remote MCP server (Showpad pricing).

Showell AI answers questions and drafts product comparisons, emails and summaries from your own content, in the language of each market, and Showell says it does not use customer content for model training. AI search and recommendations are included, and Professional includes unlimited use. We found no AI role play, AI agents or MCP server on Showell's pages. Its LMS add-on covers learning paths, courses, quizzes and progress tracking, without role play or scoring.

So the choice depends on what reps need from AI. If practising pitches and objections with AI matters, Showpad lists it and Showell's product pages do not. If reps mainly need to find, present and share approved content, test both with your own library.

How does Showpad pricing compare to Showell pricing?

Showell publishes a starting price; Showpad does not. Showell's Professional plan starts at $715 per workspace per month, users included, for 10 to 200 users, with a branded app, unlimited storage, unlimited sales rooms and unlimited Showell AI. Enterprise (200+ users) is quoted (Showell pricing). Twelve months at the starting price comes to $8,580 before add-ons, but the page names no currency and no per-user rate; its price calculator estimates costs for up to 200 users. The LMS, the Salesforce, HubSpot and Dynamics integrations, CRM sync of shares and some SSO options are add-ons with no published price.

Showpad licenses per user through Professional, Advanced and Expert plans, each by quote, plus Empower, Learn and Collaborate add-on bundles (Showpad pricing). Vendr reports a median Showpad contract of $34,875 a year (50 purchases, February 2026), ranging $13,690 to $129,240; 50 is a small sample. We found no dated Showell benchmark with a sample size, and G2 lists Showell's plans as "Contact Us".

Of the two, only Showell publishes contract terms on its pricing page: a 12-month minimum, automatic renewal, at least 90 days' notice to cancel, no refunds for prepaid periods, and seats you can add at any time. For Showpad, Vendr says two- and three-year terms lower the annual cost and renewal escalators of about 3–5% are common. Showell's comparison page calls Showell more affordable than Showpad but shows no Showpad prices, so compare two quotes for the same users, features and term. The Showpad pricing guide lists what each Showpad plan adds.
