Outreach or Salesloft: which should you choose?
Outreach vs Salesloft compares two sales engagement platforms now spanning forecasting, conversation intelligence and AI agents; neither lists prices on its website. Choose Outreach for per-user packages with AI credits and mutual action plans. Choose Salesloft for Cadence plus Clari forecasting and deal inspection.
Choose Outreach if…
- You want per-user pricing with no platform fee: Outreach's pricing page says so, and meters AI use in credits, from 10,000 in Amplify Essentials to 100,000 in Amplify Pro.
- You want to share plans with buyers: Mutual Action Plans (Success Plans) hold documents, recorded demos, success criteria and next steps, and show who on the buying committee opened them.
- You want to build your own agent workflows: Agent Studio chains agents and triggers on a visual canvas, beside the Omni, Revenue, Research, Deal, Meeting Prep and Personalization Agents.
- Your security review asks about AI governance or HIPAA: Outreach's trust page lists ISO 42001 and HIPAA alongside SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and CSA STAR.
Choose Salesloft if…
- You want Clari's forecasting: Clari Forecast adds an AI Forecast Agent and an AI projection beside plan and commit figures, and Inspect flags risky commit deals.
- You review deals by methodology: Deals shows MEDDPICC, BANT and SPICED tabs with AI deal insights, fills MEDDPICC and BANT fields from call transcripts, and adds a Deal Engagement Score and missing buying-group contact checks.
- You use Highspot for content: a Highspot listing in the Salesloft Marketplace puts Highspot content into cadences and emails and sends pitch views to Rhythm.
- You buy software through AWS: Salesloft lists a 12-month "Salesloft Platform" contract on AWS Marketplace at $26,400, with no seat count stated, and handles private offers through its partner team.

What is the difference between Outreach and Salesloft?
Both sell sales engagement (multi-channel sequences, a dialer and meeting scheduling) inside a wider revenue platform. Outreach calls itself the "Agentic AI Platform for Revenue Teams" and "the only revenue orchestration platform" for prospecting, deals, forecasting, coaching and account expansion (Outreach). Its platform covers sales engagement, pipeline and deal management, deal insights, mutual action plans, forecasting, conversation intelligence on its Kaia meeting AI, rep coaching and account management. Salesloft's platform page is headed "Meet the Predictive Revenue System" and splits its products in two: revenue execution for account teams (Cadence, Conversation Intelligence, Deals and Rhythm) and revenue intelligence for revenue leaders (Clari Forecast, Inspect and Analytics), on a Unified Revenue Data Layer and a Signals layer (Salesloft).
The engagement tools are close, but Outreach packages them differently. Multi-channel sequencing is listed in Amplify Core and the packages above it, while Amplify Essentials is aimed at conversation intelligence and coaching, with the Outreach Voice dialer, real-time transcription and meeting scheduling (Outreach pricing). Salesloft's Cadence covers multi-channel cadences, an email step builder, a sales dialer, a meeting scheduler, templates and snippets, and a mobile app whose tasks are prioritised by Conductor AI; its Rhythm Prioritizer agent orders each rep's daily to-dos by signals and priorities (Salesloft).
Neither lists a sales content library or digital sales rooms on its product pages. Outreach comes closest to a buyer-facing space: its Mutual Action Plans (Success Plans) are shared plans holding documents, recorded presentations and demos, success criteria and agreed next steps, and reps see who on the buying committee opens them. Its Knowledge feature, added in April 2026, lets admins upload case studies, white papers and battlecards for its AI to cite, but the release notes do not say reps can share those files with buyers. Salesloft's Deals page mentions no mutual action plans or buyer-facing rooms, and content comes from partners: a Highspot listing in the Salesloft Marketplace lets reps add Highspot content to cadences, templates and emails and sends Highspot pitch views to Rhythm.
Outreach is headquartered in Seattle and backed by investors including Sands Capital, Salesforce Ventures and Lone Pine Capital; it was started in early 2014, and its About page cites $489M in funding (About Outreach). Abhijit Mitra became CEO in September 2024 (Business Wire), and the latest funding round we found is a $200 million Series G in June 2021 that raised its valuation to more than $4.4 billion (Fenwick). We found no merger announcement. Its main site has moved to outreach.ai: www.outreach.io now redirects there, while its support pages stay on outreach.io.
Salesloft merged with Clari. The two announced the deal on 7 August 2025, saying Clari CEO Andy Byrne would lead the combined company (Salesloft), and completed it on 3 December 2025 with Steve Cox appointed CEO instead (Salesloft). The business operates as Salesloft, and clari.com redirects to salesloft.com (Clari). Clari survives as a product name, and Clari Forecast, Conversations (Clari Copilot), Groove and Drift still have separate logins; website chat has moved from Drift to the partner 1mind (Salesloft). Vista Equity Partners invested in Salesloft in December 2021 at a $2.3 billion valuation (Salesloft); neither merger release mentions Vista.
How do Outreach and Salesloft compare on forecasting and revenue intelligence?
Both now sell forecasting beside engagement, on different terms. Outreach builds Sales Forecasting into its own platform, and its pricing page lists the forecasting features (AI Forecast Projection, AI Assist for forecasting, a scenario planner, forecast rollups and trends, territory management, and multi-currency and parallel forecasts) only in Amplify Pro, the top package, which its FAQ says CROs typically choose. Deal health and alerts start in Amplify Essentials, and the Deal Agent recommends updates to opportunity fields from call and meeting signals (Outreach).
Salesloft's forecasting came with Clari. Clari Forecast includes an AI Forecast Agent that analyses historical deal data and live rep activity, an AI projection shown beside plan and commit figures, AI-scored opportunities, and at-risk deal flags with next best actions. Inspect, called Clari Inspect in its FAQ, flags risky commit deals with AI Insights, a CRM Score trend and a Deal Indicator for problems such as a missing next meeting. Deals adds a Deal Summary AI agent, a Deal Engagement Score, and MEDDPICC, BANT and SPICED views, with MEDDPICC and BANT fields filled from call transcripts, and the Spring 2026 update lets users trigger Salesloft tasks and AI-generated emails from inside Clari Inspect and Forecast. Salesloft's site does not say which package includes forecasting; G2 places forecasting and revenue management in a Premier edition.
Both record and analyse calls. Outreach's conversation intelligence runs on Kaia, which joins and records live meetings with real-time transcription, Real-time Assist content cards, Kaia Translations, playlists, one-sided call recording and CRM sync, and its Rep Coaching adds custom topics, Smart Kaia Coach and coach card reports. Salesloft's Conversation Intelligence provides AI call summaries, follow-up emails, automated CRM updates, live call coaching and real-time battlecards, and its Spring 2026 update connected Clari Copilot so that call action items become follow-up emails and tasks. Neither lists AI role play or a training module, so practice and certification need a separate tool.
Both vendors' analyst recognition is in revenue orchestration categories. Outreach says it was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Revenue Action Orchestration, dated 13 October 2026, for the second consecutive year (Outreach), a Leader in The Forrester Wave: Revenue Orchestration Platforms for B2B, Q3 2026 (Outreach), and a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Unified Revenue Orchestration Platforms (Outreach). Salesloft says that in the first Magic Quadrant for Revenue Action Orchestration, in December 2025, Clari was placed as a Leader and Salesloft as a Visionary (Salesloft). Gartner's abstract for the 2026 edition lists Salesloft among 13 vendors without showing placements and does not list Clari separately (Gartner); we found no Salesloft statement on its 2026 placement. Salesloft says it was a Leader in the Q3 2024 Forrester Wave: Revenue Orchestration Platforms for B2B (Salesloft), and we found no Salesloft statement on the Q3 2026 edition.
Which AI agents and integrations do Outreach and Salesloft offer?
Outreach's AI Agents page lists Outreach MCP and the Omni Agent as available now, alongside the Revenue Agent, which finds high-intent accounts and new contacts and drafts outreach; the Research, Meeting Prep, Deal and Personalization Agents; and Agent Studio, a visual canvas for building workflows that connect agents and triggers. A Reply Agent that answers objections in email replies is marked "Coming soon". The Omni Agent answers questions on pipeline, deals, accounts and team performance and drafts and sends follow-up emails inside Outreach, Slack or mobile, and Outreach's release notes date Omni, Knowledge and Agent Studio to April 2026. AI actions use the credits in each Amplify package. The Outreach pages we checked do not say whether customer data trains its models.
Salesloft's AI agents page groups its agents by stage. Its Create group includes Account Research, Person Research, Buyer Identification (with ZoomInfo), Ask Salesloft, Rhythm Prioritizer, AI Email Steps for Cadence and a Generative AI Email Assistant; its Close group lists Deal Summaries, Sales Methodology Extraction (for example into MEDDPICC), Stalled Deals Insight and Objection Handling Insight; and its Grow and Scale groups include Analytics Interpreter and Sales Strategist, which recommends coaching from performance trends. Clari Forecast adds its AI Forecast Agent. The page gives no pricing or availability details. Salesloft says it uses private AI models so that a customer's data is never used to train models for other customers (Salesloft).
Both connect to outside AI assistants through MCP. Outreach announced a full MCP suite on 2 June 2026: an MCP Server for Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Agentforce, ChatGPT and Codex; an MCP Client that brings in Seismic, Amplitude, Snowflake, Crayon, Sendoso, Slack, ZoomInfo, Glean and Demandbase; and an Agentic Ecosystem marketplace (Outreach). Since 15 September 2026 it can also be bought, provisioned and managed through Salesforce AgentExchange, with private offers and unified billing (Outreach). Salesloft extended its MCP Server to the full Clari + Salesloft platform on 9 July 2026, exposing Cadence and activity data, Clari Copilot call intelligence and Clari forecasting and deal-inspection data, with write-back; Claude got a native connector-directory listing, and ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini custom connectors were announced for late summer 2026 (Salesloft).
Integrations differ in the details. Outreach cites over 90 supported integrations (platform). It syncs two-way with Microsoft Dynamics through the Dynamics Web API, checking for changes every 10 minutes by default (Outreach Support), and announced a native two-way sync with ServiceNow Sales CRM in May 2026 (Outreach); its HubSpot email sync runs one way, from Outreach to HubSpot, and HubSpot's engineers manage it (Outreach Support). Salesloft's platform page describes its Unified Revenue Data Layer as "Perpetual sync across revenue data", and the Salesloft Marketplace listed 270 partners when we checked, though its introduction says 180+. On security, Outreach's trust page lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, HIPAA and CSA STAR. Salesloft's security page lists annual SOC 2 Type 2 examinations, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701, GDPR and CCPA/CPRA compliance, and hosting on AWS and GCP in the US and EU, with Clari hosted in the US; it does not mention ISO 42001 or HIPAA.
How does Outreach pricing compare to Salesloft pricing?
Neither lists prices on its own website, but Outreach describes its model. Its pricing page says "Per user pricing. No platform fees. Support included." Seats give each user access to the platform, and consumption-based AI credits cover AI use. It sells four Amplify packages, each with a "Request pricing" button: Essentials ("AI-Powered Intelligence and Coaching") with 10,000 AI credits, Core ("AI-Powered Sales Execution") with 25,000, Plus ("AI-Powered Revenue Acceleration", labelled Most Popular) with 50,000, and Pro ("AI-Powered Revenue Orchestration") with 100,000. Each AI action has a predefined credit cost that the page does not publish, and extra credit packs can be bought at any time. The add-ons are Data Sharing, Connectors, Additional Instances and Listener Licenses. The page states no list price, currency, billing period, minimum seat count, contract length or free trial. Outreach's AWS Marketplace listing, sold by Outreach, shows one "Orchestrate (50 seats)" dimension at $108,000 for a 12-month contract, plus "Additional usages" at $0.01 per unit without defining the unit; Orchestrate is not one of the Amplify package names, and the listing shows no listing date and does not mention AI credits.
Salesloft's own site shows less. Its pricing URL opens a Talk to Sales page that asks for a business email to book an intro call and shows no packages, prices or free trial. Its AWS Marketplace listing, sold by Salesloft, has one pricing dimension, "Salesloft Platform", at $26,400 for a 12-month contract. The listing says the platform is billed per user and that seats include sales engagement workflows, call recording with AI insights, pipeline and deal visibility, and forecasting, but it does not say how many users the $26,400 covers; contracts run for at least 12 months, and private offers go through Salesloft's partner team. G2, with pricing information updated on 29 July 2026, lists Advanced and Premier editions at "Contact Us" and says Salesloft offers no free trial or free plan; we did not find those edition names on salesloft.com.
The only dated contract data with sample sizes we found is Vendr's. It reports a median Outreach contract of $45,600 a year, with a range of $8,660 to $215,400 (919 purchases, February 2026), and says buyers saved 12% on average (Vendr). Its median Salesloft contract is $30,740 a year, with a range of $5,152 to $146,494 (710 purchases, February 2026), and it describes per-user pricing billed annually or over several years, with a typical minimum of 10 to 15 users (Vendr). Vendr's separate Clari page shows a median of $76,000 a year (291 purchases, February 2026) and does not mention the merger (Vendr). Both main pages also show smaller "deals handled" counts (545 for Outreach, 304 for Salesloft) that they do not reconcile, and Vendr's Outreach tiers (Standard, Professional and Enterprise) are not Outreach's Amplify packages while salesloft.com shows no package names, so we do not repeat its tier estimates and treat the medians as directional.
Compare quotes for the same users, products and term. Ask Outreach how many credits your expected agent use needs, what extra credit packs cost and whether you need Amplify Pro for forecasting. Ask Salesloft which products and how many users a quote covers, whether Clari Forecast and Inspect are included, and whether AI agents or the MCP Server cost extra. The Outreach pricing and Salesloft pricing guides go into more detail.
Frequently asked questions
Which is better, Outreach or Salesloft?
Neither is better in general. Outreach suits teams that want engagement, conversation intelligence, deal management and forecasting on one platform, priced per user with AI credits, plus mutual action plans shared with buyers. Salesloft suits teams that want Cadence with Clari Forecast and Inspect, methodology fields filled from call transcripts, and a partner marketplace that includes Highspot. Pilot both on the same pipeline before you decide.
How much do Outreach and Salesloft cost?
Neither lists prices on its own website. Outreach prices per user with no platform fees, plus AI credits that vary by Amplify package, and its AWS Marketplace listing shows one "Orchestrate (50 seats)" 12-month contract at $108,000. Salesloft's pricing page is a Talk to Sales form, and its AWS Marketplace listing shows one $26,400 12-month "Salesloft Platform" contract without a seat count. Vendr reports median contracts of $45,600 a year for Outreach (919 purchases, February 2026) and $30,740 for Salesloft (710 purchases, February 2026).
Did Salesloft merge with Clari?
Yes. Clari and Salesloft announced their merger on 7 August 2025 and completed it on 3 December 2025, with Steve Cox as CEO. The company operates as Salesloft and clari.com redirects to salesloft.com. Clari remains a product name in Clari Forecast, Clari Inspect and Clari Copilot, and Clari Forecast and Conversations still have separate logins.
Do Outreach and Salesloft include forecasting?
Both sell it. Outreach lists AI Forecast Projection, a scenario planner, forecast rollups and territory management in Amplify Pro, its top package. Salesloft sells Clari Forecast, with an AI Forecast Agent and an AI projection beside plan and commit figures, and Inspect for deal risk; its site does not say which package includes them, and G2 places forecasting in a Premier edition.
What are the alternatives to Outreach and Salesloft?
Gong also sells sales engagement and forecasting, as Gong Engage and Gong Forecast, on its conversation data; see Gong vs Salesloft. Neither Outreach nor Salesloft lists content management, AI role-play training or digital sales rooms on its product pages; enablement platforms such as Highspot (now part of Seismic), Seismic and Revspire offer content management and digital sales rooms alongside an engagement tool. Revspire prices by module with unlimited user licenses (pricing).
