Seismic or Showpad: which should you choose?
Seismic vs Showpad compares two quote-based enterprise suites whose Vendr medians sit close together. Choose Seismic for governed content at scale, financial services and 150+ integrations. Choose Showpad for field sales in manufacturing, medical devices or consumer goods, with 3D and AR assets.
Choose Seismic if…
- Your hardest problem is content at scale: version control, role-based permissions, audit trails and brand compliance.
- You sell in financial services, which has its own section on Seismic's homepage.
- You want AI under formal governance: Seismic's generative AI is opt-in by default, Aura respects content permissions, and Seismic lists ISO 42001.
- You want 150+ integrations, plus published MCP connectors for Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
Choose Showpad if…
- Your reps sell in person, in industries such as manufacturing, consumer goods, chemicals or medical devices.
- You present physical products and want 3D and AR assets inside Shared Spaces, which every plan includes.
- You want a Field Seller Agent that captures audio, images and notes offline on iOS and syncs meeting summaries to the CRM (Expert plan).
- You want role-play practice with feedback in 35+ languages (Roleplay AI, from the Advanced plan).

What is the difference between Seismic and Showpad?
Seismic starts from sales content. Its homepage names the Seismic Enablement Cloud and lists capabilities for content management, learning and coaching, program strategy and execution, meeting intelligence and digital sales rooms, plus Aura AI (Seismic). Its content platform centres on version control, role-based permissions, audit trails, brand compliance and AI recommendations by deal stage, persona or product. Financial services gets its own section on the homepage, which also lists manufacturing, technology and life sciences, and Seismic lists 150+ integrations.
Showpad starts from the field seller. It describes an AI-powered sales enablement platform "designed for the complex reality of field sales", grouped into sales readiness, content management, buyer engagement, and analytics and insights. It names healthcare and medical devices, manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, chemicals, technology and financial services as its industries (Showpad).
The overlap is large. Both sell content management, learning with AI role play, buyer-facing rooms, analytics and AI agents, and both were Leaders in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant, the Forrester Wave Q3 2024 and the 2025 IDC MarketScape for revenue enablement platforms. Both have also combined with a rival: Seismic completed its merger with Highspot on 18 August 2026 (Highspot blog), and Vector Capital combined Showpad with Bigtincan on 30 October 2025 (Business Wire). We found no integration between the two products; both are listed in the content category of Gong's integration marketplace (Gong Collective).
Which is better for field sales, Seismic or Showpad?
Both work offline. Every Showpad plan includes mobile, offline and browser access (Showpad pricing), and Seismic's iPhone and iPad app says it gives access to sales content, training and communications online and offline (App Store). The difference is field-specific tooling. Showpad hosts 3D and AR assets in Shared Spaces on every plan, and its Expert plan adds a Field Seller Agent. According to Showpad's Summer '26 release, that agent prepares pre-meeting briefings, captures audio, images and notes offline on iOS, writes structured meeting summaries and syncs them to Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Sales Cloud or HubSpot. Seismic's homepage and rooms page do not mention 3D or AR assets; it covers meeting preparation through Aura's AI-generated briefs.
For buyer rooms, Showpad's Shared Spaces page describes co-branded hubs where buyers can upload files and book meetings, mutual action plans with milestones, owners, due dates and automatic notifications, buyer analytics across every Space, and CRM connections. Seismic's digital sales rooms offer comments, threads and tagging, video intros recorded in the room, drag-and-drop personalisation, real-time engagement alerts and password protection, and buyers do not need a Seismic account. Seismic's rooms page does not mention mutual action plans, so ask if you need them.
How do Seismic and Showpad compare on AI agents and role play?
Seismic's Aura is a set of agents for enablement execution, buyer and customer engagement, and coaching and development. It lists AI meeting briefs, content adapted to new formats and languages, answers inside the tools reps already use, and practice scenarios based on your deals, products and top-performer behaviours, while Seismic Learning adds courses, AI-powered role-plays, microlearning and AI-driven coaching. Seismic says generative AI is opt-in by default and that Aura respects content permissions, and it lists ISO 42001. Its remote MCP server has published connectors for Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot; MCP must be enabled for your tenant, an administrator turns on each tool, and some tools are marked Early Access.
Showpad's AI sits under the Genie name. Genie Assistant and Agents come with every plan, Roleplay AI starts on Advanced, and Genie Agent Studio, custom agents and a remote MCP server need Expert. The Summer '26 release, dated 15 July 2026, says Roleplay AI gives feedback in 35+ languages and lets leaders review the audio and video of submitted role plays, and it names Salesforce Agentforce, Microsoft Copilot and Glean as out-of-the-box MCP integrations. We found no role-play language list on Seismic's pages, so test both with your own scenarios and scorecards.
How does Seismic pricing compare to Showpad pricing?
Neither vendor publishes prices. Vendr reports a median Seismic contract of $31,950 a year (415 purchases, February 2026), with a range of $8,993 to $179,008. Vendr reports a median Showpad contract of $34,875 a year (50 purchases, February 2026), with a range of $13,690 to $129,240. The medians are less than $3,000 apart, but the Showpad figure rests on a much smaller sample, and both Vendr pages show header deal counts that differ from their purchase counts, so treat the figures as directional.
The cost drivers differ. Vendr says Seismic quotes per named user, with Seismic Learning and Content Automation priced as add-ons and advanced analytics often bundled or sold as an add-on. Showpad licenses per user through Professional, Advanced and Expert plans: Roleplay AI starts on Advanced, while the Field Seller Agent, Genie Agent Studio and the MCP server need Expert, and its Empower, Learn and Collaborate add-ons are listed without prices or descriptions. The Seismic pricing and Showpad pricing guides cover cost drivers and procurement questions.
Both vendors are integrating acquisitions, so ask which product your contract covers and how long it stays supported. Seismic said it would share the first in-depth look at its roadmap at Seismic Shift, held 12 to 15 October 2026 (Highspot blog); as of 17 October 2026 we found no published packaging or pricing changes. If you already use Brainshark or Bigtincan Hub, which Showpad now lists among its tools, ask how they map to its current plans.
