Showpad or Allego: which should you choose?
Showpad vs Allego pits field-sales enablement against a learning-first platform; neither lists prices. Choose Showpad, combined with Bigtincan since 2025, for offline mobile content and 3D and AR assets. Choose Allego for training, AI video-avatar role play and a published pricing model with AI included.
Choose Showpad if…
- Your reps sell in the field and need content offline on mobile, which every Showpad plan includes.
- You present physical or technical products and want 3D and AR asset hosting, which every Showpad plan lists.
- You already run Brainshark or Bigtincan Hub, which now sit in the Showpad product family.
- You want agents built around your own workflows: the Expert plan adds Genie Agent Studio, custom agents and a remote MCP server.
Choose Allego if…
- Onboarding, certification and continuous learning are the centre of your enablement, and you want it mobile-first and offline-ready.
- You want AI role play against video avatars, with manager scoring, rubrics and certifications.
- You want AI, customer support and implementation included in the price rather than tied to a plan tier.
- You are leaving another platform mid-contract: Allego's pricing page offers a Buyout Program for teams under contract with another provider.

What is the difference between Showpad and Allego?
Showpad describes itself as an AI-powered sales enablement platform designed for the complex reality of field sales (Showpad). Its plans group Genie Assistant and Agents, content management, sales readiness, buyer engagement and analytics. Every plan includes mobile, offline and browser access, plus Shared Spaces, its buyer-facing pages, and 3D and AR asset hosting (Showpad pricing).
Allego starts from learning and coaching. Its first bundle is Modern Learning with conversation intelligence, followed by AI Role Play, Content Management, and Digital Rooms with Deal Navigator (Allego pricing). It describes its learning as mobile-first and offline-ready, runs native web, iOS and Android apps, and supports content in 12 languages, with captions in more than 100.
The overlap is wide. Both cover content, training, AI role play and buyer-facing spaces, and both were Leaders in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant and the Forrester Wave Q3 2024 for revenue enablement platforms. Their industry lists overlap too: both name medical devices, manufacturing, technology and financial services. Showpad also names healthcare, consumer packaged goods and chemicals, and Allego names life sciences, insurance and professional services (Allego).
Which has better AI role play and coaching, Showpad or Allego?
Showpad tiers its AI by plan. Genie Assistant is on every plan. Roleplay AI, knowledge checks, certifications and a manager hub start on Advanced. Authoring AI, Genie Agent Studio, custom agents, Salesforce and MCP connectors and a remote MCP server need Expert (Showpad pricing). Showpad is also bringing Brainshark into its content library: admins can build "Brainsharks", AI-narrated interactive presentations with quiz questions, inside Showpad. The feature is in beta, and Showpad's help article (updated 15 July 2026) lists the Expert plan, the Expert AI Bundle add-on and administrator rights under its requirements.
Allego sells AI Role Play as its own bundle: on-demand practice against lifelike AI video avatars with real-time feedback on talk track, objections and messaging, plus manager scoring, rubrics, side-by-side review, badges, certifications and readiness dashboards. Allego 9 adds pre-built scenarios (Allego pricing). Allego acquired Refract, a UK sales engagement and conversation-analytics company, in December 2020 (Business Wire), and now bundles Conversation Intelligence with Modern Learning. It also lists an MCP API server and Salesforce Einstein and Microsoft Copilot integrations (Allego).
On the pages we checked, neither vendor describes role-play languages or custom personas in detail. The practical difference is packaging: Showpad's role play starts on its Advanced plan, while Allego's is a separate bundle with AI included in its price. Pilot both with the same scenario, rubric and managers.
How does Showpad pricing compare to Allego pricing?
Neither lists prices. Showpad licenses per user through Professional, Advanced and Expert plans, each by quote, with Empower, Learn and Collaborate add-on bundles it does not describe, and professional services it does not price (Showpad pricing). Vendr reports a median Showpad contract of $34,875 a year (50 purchases, February 2026), ranging $13,690 to $129,240. That is a small sample, so treat it as directional.
Allego publishes its model rather than its rates: per user per month, billed annually upfront, with three-year terms typical and one- and two-year terms available. Channel and partner users get a lower list price, and non-revenue roles get reduced pricing. AI, customer support and Premium Success Services, which cover implementation, key integrations and training, are included; managed services cost extra (Allego pricing). We found no dated third-party benchmark with a sample size for Allego.
That makes a like-for-like comparison a quote exercise. With Showpad, ask which plan carries the AI you need, since Roleplay AI starts on Advanced and the MCP server on Expert. With Allego, ask for the per-user rate for each bundle you need and for the combination. The Showpad pricing and Allego pricing guides list the questions to ask.
Who owns Showpad and Allego, and what does switching involve?
Vector Capital completed its acquisition of Showpad on 30 October 2025 and combined it with Bigtincan, which it had bought in April 2025. The business runs under the Showpad brand with Apratim Purakayastha as CEO and serves more than 2,000 customers in 50 countries (Business Wire). Brainshark, Bigtincan Hub, Zunos and ClearSlide are now listed as Showpad tools, so Bigtincan or Brainshark customers comparing Allego should ask which product their renewal covers.
We found no merger announcement for Allego; its homepage says it has been in business for more than 12 years with minimal outside venture funding (Allego). Its pricing page offers a Buyout Program for teams "locked into a contract with another provider". The dedicated Heismic page names only Seismic and Highspot customers and publishes no cap or end date, so a Showpad customer should ask whether the offer applies and get the terms in writing.
Showpad runs a switch from Allego page that offers a demo and personalised pricing, but no buyout. Neither vendor's pages that we checked list an integration with the other. Whichever way you move, plan to rebuild role-play scenarios and scorecards, since practice content rarely ports cleanly between platforms.
