HubSpot Sales Hub or Pipedrive: which should you choose?
HubSpot Sales Hub vs Pipedrive compares two CRMs that both publish list prices. HubSpot runs from a free tier to $150 per seat a month on Enterprise; Pipedrive runs from US$14 to US$79 per seat a month billed annually, with paid add-ons.
Choose HubSpot Sales Hub if…
- You want to start at no cost: HubSpot lists a "$0/mo" tier, "Free for up to 2 users. No credit card required.", where Pipedrive offers only a 14-day trial.
- You want seat types to hold the bill down: a Core Seat is $20, $50 or $75 per seat per month by tier against a Sales Seat at $100 or $150, and view-only seats cost nothing extra.
- You want AI agents inside the CRM: HubSpot names a "Breeze Prospecting Agent (Beta)" and Agent Hub, "Your central home for building and managing AI agents across the platform".
- You want conversation intelligence, forecasting and sales methodology scoring listed as part of the same product rather than bought separately.
Choose Pipedrive if…
- You want the lowest published per-seat price: Lite is US$14 and Premium US$59 per seat per month billed annually, each shown with its annual total per seat.
- You want to trial it across the whole team: every plan carries a "Free 14-day trial. No credit card required.", and the FAQ says you can invite as many users as you want.
- You want to buy extras only when you need them: five add-ons are priced separately rather than reaching them by moving to a higher tier.
- You want no implementation fee: Pipedrive's pricing page lists none, while HubSpot charges $1,500 on Professional and $3,500 on Enterprise.

What is the difference between HubSpot Sales Hub and Pipedrive?
Scope, mainly. HubSpot sells Sales Hub as one product in a wider platform: its Sales Software page is headed "Sales Software" with the line "More selling. Less everything else.", and names lead management, sales automation, deal pipelines and scoring, buying groups, call tracking, playbooks, deal plans, sales methodology scoring, conversation intelligence, forecasting and analytics. CPQ is not in Sales Hub; the page places it in Revenue Hub.
Pipedrive is narrower and says so. Its homepage calls it "The easy and effective CRM for closing deals" and describes it as letting you "track your sales pipeline, optimize leads, manage deals with AI". Around the pipeline it lists email sync and tracking, automations, reporting and forecasting, Nova meeting intelligence, a mobile app and a marketplace, with LeadBooster, Web Visitors, Smart Docs, Projects and Campaigns sold as add-ons.
The companies differ as much as the products. HubSpot was founded in Boston in 2006 by "fellow MIT graduate students Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah" and states "306,000 Customers", "9,000+ Employees" and "15 Global Offices" (HubSpot). Pipedrive says "Our story began in an Estonian garage in 2010", is backed by "global investment firm Vista Equity Partners", and states "100,000+" companies using it and a team of "850+ people across eight countries", though its statistics panel says "800+" (Pipedrive). Both sets of figures are the vendors' own.
How does HubSpot pricing compare to Pipedrive pricing?
Both publish prices, but they publish them differently, and the difference matters when you compare them. Pipedrive's pricing page gives one figure per plan plus the annual total: Lite "US$14" and "One payment of US$ 168 per seat/year", Growth "US$39" and "US$ 468", Premium "US$59" and "US$ 708", Ultimate "US$79" and "US$ 948", all per seat per month billed annually and exclusive of VAT. Its "Billed monthly" toggle carries "(Save up to 42%)" for annual billing, but no monthly amount is stated on the page.
HubSpot takes more unpicking, because the page most people land on is not a Sales Hub page and the figure on it is not a list price. The standing Sales Hub rates are in HubSpot's Product and Services Catalog: a Core Seat at "$20/month per seat" on Starter, "$50/month per seat" on Professional and "$75/month per seat" on Enterprise, and a Sales Seat "Not available" on Starter, "$100/month per seat" on Professional and "$150/month per seat" on Enterprise, with a free tier at "$0/mo", "Free for up to 2 users." Onboarding is separate and one-time, "Professional Onboarding for a fee of $1,500" and "Enterprise Onboarding for a fee of $3,500".
The address hubspot.com/pricing/sales redirects to HubSpot's pricing page, which prices the whole platform. Checked in a browser on 22 October 2026, its Starter card carried the label "Limited-time - 65% off" above a promotional rate of €7 a seat a month, so the advertised entry figure is a discount on the catalogue's $20 Starter Core Seat rather than the plan's price. The same check, from France and billed annually, showed an Enterprise card at €175 a seat a month, which is a platform plan and not the Sales Hub Enterprise Sales Seat at "$150/month per seat"; the two are different products. Both vendors serve prices in the visitor's local currency, so the dollar and US$ figures here are the US list prices as served to a US visitor, checked on 21 and 22 October 2026.
On like-for-like arithmetic, ten seats for a year come to US$7,080 on Pipedrive Premium (10 x US$708) and $12,000 on HubSpot Professional Sales Seats (10 x $100 x 12), before tax and add-ons, with HubSpot's one-time "Professional Onboarding for a fee of $1,500" on top in the first year. Pipedrive lists no onboarding fee. See the HubSpot Sales Hub pricing and Pipedrive pricing guides for the full tier detail.
How do seats, trials and free tiers compare?
HubSpot has three kinds of seat and Pipedrive has one. A HubSpot Sales Seat grants "complete access to Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise, including advanced features built for sellers", a Core Seat costs "$20/month per seat" on Starter, "$50" on Professional and "$75" on Enterprise, and view-only seats are "available at no additional cost". Starter has no Sales Seat at all. That lets a team split sellers from everyone else, which is the main lever on a HubSpot bill; neither the pricing page nor the catalogue states how many seats a tier's base price includes.
Pipedrive prices one seat per plan, with no minimum or maximum stated and no enterprise tier above Ultimate, so the comparison is simply headcount times plan. Where HubSpot bills AI and enrichment usage through credits, 500 a month on Starter, 3,000 on Professional and 5,000 on Enterprise, with "Credits reset monthly, and unused credits do not carry over" and top-ups at "$0.010 per credit" or "$10 USD per 1,000 credits", Pipedrive publishes no credit system.
Trying them before buying works the other way round. HubSpot's free tier is open-ended but capped at two users, so a larger team cannot pilot it in full without paying. Pipedrive has no free plan, but its 14-day trial needs no card and its FAQ says you can invite as many users as you want, which makes a whole-team pilot practical for a fortnight.
How do HubSpot Breeze and Pipedrive AI compare?
HubSpot brands its AI as Breeze and puts an agent at the front of it. Its Sales Software page names a "Breeze Prospecting Agent (Beta)", described as "an AI agent that learns from your best reps over time", alongside Breeze Assistant, AI Guided Selling, HubSpot Notetaker and Agent Hub, "Your central home for building and managing AI agents across the platform". Conversation intelligence is listed as a Sales Hub capability. The cost is metered: AI usage draws on HubSpot Credits.
Pipedrive names "Pipedrive AI" and an "AI Sales Assistant" with "AI-powered prompts" and suggestions, puts AI-powered report creation on Lite and AI-powered multi-email tools on Premium, and lists a Pipedrive MCP server. Its meeting intelligence, Nova, is marked new on Lite, and the homepage says "Nova is included in all plans, at no additional cost." The phrase "AI agents" does not appear on its homepage.
The practical difference is agents versus assistance, and metered versus included. HubSpot offers agent building and a prospecting agent in beta, charged against credits; Pipedrive offers AI drafting, scoring and report creation inside the plan price, with meeting intelligence free on every plan.
Which one covers more of the sales workflow?
It depends on where you draw the line, and both leave something out. Pipedrive puts lead generation and routing, custom scoring, company data enrichment, AI-powered multi-email tools and "contracts and e-signatures" inside Premium at US$59 a seat a month, and phone and email data enrichment, a sandbox and extended phone support on Ultimate. It also sells five overlapping add-ons, "Starting from" $32.50 for LeadBooster and Smart Docs, $41 for Web Visitors, $16 for Projects and $13.33 for Campaigns, with no billing period stated for any of them.
HubSpot covers forecasting, conversation intelligence, buying groups, deal plans and sales methodology scoring as named Sales Hub capabilities, but moves CPQ out to Revenue Hub, which it cross-sells to new Sales Hub customers at "$57/mo/seat (was $95)" for Professional or "$98/mo/seat (was $140)" for Enterprise when billed annually. Neither vendor publishes a digital sales room with mutual action plans, and neither publishes a governed sales content library of the kind an enablement platform provides.
So the choice is less about which is bigger than about which gaps you mind. A team that wants quoting inside the CRM pays for a second HubSpot product; a team that wants e-signatures and enrichment in the CRM buys Pipedrive Premium or Ultimate; a team that wants either plus governed content and buyer collaboration adds a separate tool to whichever CRM it picks.
Frequently asked questions
Which is better, HubSpot Sales Hub or Pipedrive?
Neither is better in general. HubSpot suits teams that want a free tier to start on, mixed Core and Sales seats to control cost, and AI agents, conversation intelligence and forecasting in one platform. Pipedrive suits teams that want the lowest published per-seat price, a pipeline-first tool and add-ons bought only when needed. Run both trials on the same deals before deciding.
How much do HubSpot and Pipedrive cost?
HubSpot's catalogue lists a Sales Hub Core Seat at $20, $50 or $75 a month per seat by tier and a Sales Seat at $100 on Professional or $150 on Enterprise, with a free tier at $0 for up to 2 users and one-time onboarding fees of $1,500 and $3,500. Pipedrive lists Lite at US$14, Growth US$39, Premium US$59 and Ultimate US$79 per seat per month billed annually, excluding VAT.
Does HubSpot or Pipedrive have a free plan?
HubSpot does: its pricing page lists Free at "$0/mo" and "Free for up to 2 users. No credit card required.", covering deal tracking, live chat and meeting scheduling. Pipedrive lists no free plan, only a "Free 14-day trial. No credit card required." on every plan, with as many invited trial users as you want.
Is Pipedrive cheaper than HubSpot?
At published list prices, yes, at comparable seat counts. Ten seats for a year come to US$7,080 on Pipedrive Premium against $12,000 on HubSpot Professional Sales Seats, before tax and add-ons, with HubSpot adding a one-time $1,500 Professional onboarding fee. Swapping HubSpot seats to Core Seats at $50 narrows the gap, as does Pipedrive's add-on list.
How do HubSpot and Pipedrive compare on AI?
HubSpot brands its AI as Breeze and names a "Breeze Prospecting Agent (Beta)" plus Agent Hub for building agents, with usage metered against HubSpot Credits. Pipedrive names "Pipedrive AI" and an "AI Sales Assistant", with AI report creation on Lite, AI-powered multi-email tools on Premium, an MCP server, and Nova meeting intelligence "included in all plans, at no additional cost".
Do HubSpot or Pipedrive include digital sales rooms?
Neither publishes one. Pipedrive lists contracts and e-signatures on Premium and sells a Smart Docs add-on; HubSpot lists deal plans and buying groups and moves CPQ to Revenue Hub. Teams that want a branded buyer space with a mutual action plan, governed content and engagement analytics add a separate tool alongside the CRM.
