Does Responsive publish its pricing?

Responsive pricing combines an annual platform fee, user licences, and add-ons and services. Its Emerging Edition is listed as "Starting from $10,000", with no billing period; Growth and Enterprise are quoted. Vendr's February 2026 data (133 purchases) puts the median contract at $14,750 a year.

Partly. Responsive's pricing page, titled "Responsive (formerly RFPIO) Pricing Plans", lists three editions when we checked on 20 October 2026. Only the entry edition carries a figure: Emerging is shown as "Starting from $10,000", with no billing period or currency note beside it. Growth and Enterprise have no price and send visitors to sales, and the page lists no per-user licence rate. Here is what each edition is for and what it adds, as the page lists them:

The page's FAQ asks the questions buyers would, including "Why doesn't Responsive publish exact prices?", whether there is month-to-month pricing, how long contracts are, whether a free trial is available and what types of users Responsive offers, but no answers were shown on the page when we checked. G2, whose pricing information is supplied by the software provider or taken from public pricing materials, shows the same three editions with Emerging "Starting from $10,000" and no billing period, lists no prices for Growth or Enterprise, and says its pricing information was last updated on 27 August 2026. G2 also states that Responsive does not offer a free trial, and its FAQ says there is no free plan.

If you knew the product as RFPIO, it is the same company. Responsive's About page says RFPIO was founded in 2015 and rebranded as Responsive in 2023, and lists acquisitions of RFP360 (2021), InHub (2022) and Bidhive (2025). None of Responsive's pages we checked says how RFPIO-era contracts map to the Emerging, Growth and Enterprise editions, so ask at renewal.

How does Responsive's pricing model work?

Responsive says its pricing is built to reflect how an organisation operates, "and not just how many RFPs you complete", and that the platform "supports unlimited projects and responses". The pricing page splits every deployment into three parts. The platform fee is described as "an annual subscription" that gives access to the platform at the capability and governance level you choose, and it includes centralised content management, collaboration workflows, AI-powered response support and standard integrations. User licences are listed as the second part, with no description, rate or minimum. Add-ons and services are the third.

That leaves the published figure open to interpretation. The page does not say whether "Starting from $10,000" covers the platform fee alone or includes user licences, how many users it assumes, or whether it is an annual amount. The platform fee is the only part the page calls annual, so ask Responsive to show the platform fee, each licence type and each add-on as separate lines before you compare quotes.

Vendr describes the same model from its purchase data: a subscription "based on the number of named users, the tier or edition selected, and optional add-ons", with user licences priced per named user per month or year. It gives no per-user dollar amount, does not mention a platform fee, and uses Professional and Enterprise only as example tier names, so check the edition names on your order form against Responsive's own. In an article on its pricing, updated on 6 November 2025, Responsive says it operates "on a custom pricing model".

What extras does Responsive promote, and are they priced?

Besides naming "add-ons and services" as the third part of every deployment, the pricing page promotes three items under "Enhance Response Projects with these top items", and several features appear only in higher editions. None has a published price:

Items Responsive promotes and edition-gated features, October 2026

AI agents and the MCP serverAgent Studio for no-code custom agents, TRACE Score™ answer checks and, since the Spring 2026 release on 13 May 2026, an MCP server for ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Claude.Emerging lists an AI and automation studio and Enterprise adds flexible custom AI, but no Responsive page we checked says which edition includes the MCP server, Agent Studio or TRACE Score™.

Integrations are tiered too: every edition includes standard integrations, Growth adds advanced integrations and Enterprise adds premium connectors. Responsive's integrations page counts 32 integrations and names Highspot, Seismic, Zoho, Confluence and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook among them, but the pricing page does not say which integrations fall into which tier.

How much does Responsive cost per year?

Vendr reports a median Responsive contract of $14,750 a year, with a low of $5,518 and a high of $40,303, based on 133 purchases (last updated February 2026). The page header shows 97 deals handled rather than 133 and does not explain the gap, and Vendr does not say which editions or what time window the purchases cover, so treat the figures as directional rather than as edition prices.

Vendr's median (133 purchases, February 2026) sits above the Emerging Edition's "Starting from $10,000" and its low end sits below it. Because Responsive gives no billing period or user count for that figure, the two cannot be compared directly; a quote for the same edition, users and add-ons is the only reliable check.

For comparison, Vendr reports a median Loopio contract of $24,318 a year, ranging $11,770 to $59,147 (269 purchases, April 2026) (Vendr). Loopio's pricing page names three plans and lists no price for any of them. Our Loopio vs Responsive comparison sets the two products side by side.

What drives the cost of a Responsive contract?

Responsive's pricing page names the inputs to a quote; the percentages are Vendr's observations, not Responsive terms:

  • Edition. The platform fee follows the capability and governance level you choose, so the edition sets the base price. Emerging, Growth and Enterprise differ in automation, integrations, access controls, hosting, security and reporting, and LookUp and eSignature are named in Growth, not Emerging.
  • User licences. Licences are a separate part of every deployment. Vendr says they are priced per named user and lists volume discounts of 15–30% on per-user pricing for 25 or more users.
  • Add-ons and services. Responsive names these as a separate part of every deployment but shows no prices for them, nor for the Professional Services, LookUp and Trust Center items it promotes. Vendr says implementation fees for setup, data migration and training are often 20–40% of first-year subscription cost.
  • Integrations. Standard integrations are in every edition, advanced ones in Growth and premium connectors in Enterprise, so the CRM and content tools you need can decide the edition.
  • RFP volume. Responsive says its pricing reflects how you operate "and not just how many RFPs you complete", and every edition includes unlimited response projects, though the Emerging and Growth "best for" notes mention RFP volume.
  • Term and renewals. Vendr says Responsive is typically quoted annually, that two- and three-year agreements often bring 10–20% discounts or price protection, that contracts may include auto-renewal clauses and that annual increases are typically 3–7%. Responsive's pricing page asks about contract length and mid-contract upgrades but showed no answers.

What should you ask Responsive before signing?

  • Does "Starting from $10,000" for Emerging cover the platform fee only or include user licences, how many users does it assume, and is it an annual amount?
  • What does each user licence cost, which user types does Responsive offer, and do occasional contributors such as subject-matter experts, legal reviewers and sellers need a paid licence?
  • Which edition includes the integrations you rely on, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Highspot or Seismic, given the split between standard, advanced and premium connectors?
  • Are LookUp, Trust Center, eSignature and Professional Services in the quote, and which edition includes the MCP server, Agent Studio and TRACE Score™?
  • How long is the contract, is month-to-month or a smaller-business price available, what happens if you upgrade mid-contract, and what are the renewal cap, notice period and auto-renewal terms?
  • If you are an RFPIO-era customer, how does your current contract map to the Emerging, Growth and Enterprise editions at renewal?

Frequently asked questions

How much does Responsive cost?

Responsive lists its Emerging Edition as "Starting from $10,000", without a billing period, and quotes Growth and Enterprise through sales. Vendr reports a median contract of $14,750 a year, ranging $5,518 to $40,303, across 133 purchases (February 2026). Your price depends on the edition, user licences and add-ons.

Is Responsive's "Starting from $10,000" price per year?

The pricing page does not say. It shows "Starting from $10,000" for the Emerging Edition with no billing period, and describes only the platform fee as "an annual subscription". It also does not say whether the figure includes user licences, so ask for each part as a separate line.

Does Responsive offer a free trial or free plan?

Not according to G2, whose pricing page, based on information supplied by the vendor or taken from public pricing materials, states that Responsive does not offer a free trial and whose FAQ says there is no free plan. Responsive's own pricing page lists "free trial" among its FAQ questions but showed no answer, and mentions no free plan.

Is Responsive the same as RFPIO?

Yes. Responsive's About page says RFPIO was founded in 2015 and rebranded as Responsive in 2023, and its pricing page is titled "Responsive (formerly RFPIO) Pricing Plans". It acquired RFP360 in 2021, InHub in 2022 and Bidhive in 2025.

What extras does Responsive offer beyond its editions?

Its pricing page names "add-ons and services" as one of three parts of every deployment and promotes Professional Services from APMP-certified experts, LookUp and Trust Center under "Enhance Response Projects with these top items", all without prices. LookUp and eSignature are also named in the Growth Edition, and premium connectors and flexible custom AI in Enterprise.

Is Responsive cheaper than Loopio?

On Vendr's data, the median Responsive contract ($14,750 a year, 133 purchases, February 2026) is lower than Loopio's ($24,318 a year, 269 purchases, April 2026). Loopio's pricing page lists no plan prices, while Responsive shows only its Emerging starting figure, so compare quotes for the same users, edition and add-ons. See Loopio vs Responsive.
